Its a hard concept for some to grasp on here. Its not personal. Im sure most of them would have gotten on well with him and would like him. It doesnt mean they wanted to be coachd by him and based on results of fhe first 3 rounds and the fact that he is not here that is pretty evident. All Pascoe and Woods are doing now is trying to protect the players from all the criticism being directed their way about player power , the big 4 ..etc.. its very smart management by the Ceo and captain, but pity some people are to stupid to understand this.

That's what I got from Wood's comments on 360 last night. He was pretty careful about how he phrased his answers, the questions were direct but it was clear he wouldn't be drawn into saying something he didn't want to so they dropped it.

He did say that the players 'love' JT. That he personally owed him a lot.
He also didn't say that he/they thought he was a good coach.

Since when did saying the coach should have the right to control the football operations as he sees fit equate to being a JT lover/fanboy?

I was of that opinion with Sheens, with Potter, with JT, and I will be with the next coach, irrespective of whether I agree with their decisions or not. They're paid to make the decisions they see fit to make the side successful and they live and die by the results of those actions. When those moves don't pay off they get rissoled and rightly so (like Sheens and JT.)

I'm sure I'll be countered with a reasoned response though such as "lol wooo fanboy haha woo car wash lmao lol haha lol lol lol…"

Well thank god JT'S tenure is officially dead due to those decisions. He rubbed most supporters the wrong way and now we knoww the players aswell. Can't wait for a new coach a fresh new start with a full salary cap, someone who can unite the team and supporters, the exact opposite of what JT did.

That we can both agree on.

JT was given the reign to make his decisions. He did so, and they didn't pay off, so he was axed. On to the next coach, and I hope they are given the same latitude that JT was. I don't ever want to see a coach shackled like Potter was.

Thoroughly respect your thoughts CB and as you say the coach should make the decisions that make the team successful…my only gripe is that although many disliked JT he was also restricted in what he could do in regards to the cap situation...I was the first to say that JT should finish his tenure, the team was making progress ever so slightly as was seen with Moses last half of 2016,if the team cant do the basics of rugby league such as tackle,no forward passes and mistakes kids in the park do,then its not entirely the coaches fault...JT is gone, but some of these overated players should be put on notice asap,no more excuses for them either...and I'm not a fanboy, just a person that thinks people deserve a chance with a level platform during their tenure,JT was facing uphill from the time he took over and credit to him ...HE KNEW IT...

I hope this happens asap and not 2 or 3 months away. The new coach deserves our full support regardless of results this year. He should be given full reign and allowed to start sorting out our 2018 roster immediately. The board has made one brave decision lets hope they follow this up and sign Cleary who is available immediately ASAP. Procrastinating and delaying the process will diminish any benefits of getting rid of JT now.

We all want this. You trying to rub in JT's sacking to the "fan club" is misguided to put it nicely. No one has objected to his dismissal. I think we're all looking forward to seeing how the next 1-2 months plays out.

Again, agree with pretty much everything you have said. There's no value in axing him now without picking up an able replacement in a reasonable period, otherwise we may as well guffawed our way through the year with JT.

The board are making brave decisions and are allowing their coaches to do the same, I have no issue with these decisions being made as long as they are held accountable when they backfire.

Agree with you also. I guess as tiger supporters all we crave is success, and once that happens it covers everything. When it doesnt everything is over analysed and laid out to pick at.

I'll drink to that !!!

If Jt's physical appearance is that disturbing it needs to be repeated over and over then we need a good hard look at our next coach as it could upset you and others.

Ivan Cleary or Todd Peyten handsome enough to coach us?

It's not the physical appearance at all …scarecrows have straw for brains ...hence the term

You understand now ?

The people who believes Woods quotes that he "loves" JT probably are the same people who believe Cleary when he said last night their has been "No contact" with the club.

Use your common sense. Woods has asked square in the face by Ikon would you have reccomonded Tyaor be the coach in 2018 and beyond and he shifted the question "Thats a hard one he kept saying"

If he "loved" him he would have supported him far more in the Press and behind closed doors.

On numerous occasions you have used the term pasty faced scarecrow.

A search of your posts show you seem to care about his appearance so can you please tell me which coach you prefer the look of?
It's ok I won't think you're gay or anything. Just want to make sure we have a good looking guy in charge to appease the few that care like yourself.

You just get dumber and dumber. So the players endorse JT?? The players loveeee him so much lol. They loved him so much that they 1 werent playing for him and 2 wouldnt re-sign if he was going to be the coach. Even the ardent JT supporters commented after his 360 interview that he was better to stay silent then to say what he did.

You said Woods didn't endorse Taylor. Evidence was provided that he did. You were proven wrong. How hard is that to understand?

A normal person would just go, "Sorry, mate. I missed that one." and carry on. We all make mistakes sometimes.

We're dealing with Donald Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon. Provided with factual evidence "FAKE NEWS!!!"

Those quotes are fake. Didn't happen.

You poor fan boys what will you do now, you guys might need some counselling lol lol. Once again for the dummies Woods did not support JT on fhe Tuesday. He said he loves JT on fhe sunday most likely after pascoe told him JT was gone lol lol lol. And again he loved and supported JT so much that he re-signed and cant wait to be coached by JT for the next 3 years. Or wait… did something happen. .. where's JT again lol lol lol

Just for the record you have picked up 2 warnings in this thread for personal attacks against members. 1 more and you're gone. Grow up or leave the forum.

I just think some members have so much egg on their face for their blind support of the ex coach that they will clutch at anything to try to make sense of things. They are trying to convince us that Woods and his teammates endorsed and love Taylor lol, im really confused why they are so adamant.

I love Cleary's play on words. Of course rhe tigers havent approached him, they would hav3 been in deep talks with his manager. That's what managers get paid to do.
