Time for Woods to Step up also.

The people who believes Woods quotes that he "loves" JT probably are the same people who believe Cleary when he said last night their has been "No contact" with the club.

Use your common sense. Woods has asked square in the face by Ikon would you have reccomonded Tyaor be the coach in 2018 and beyond and he shifted the question "Thats a hard one he kept saying"

If he "loved" him he would have supported him far more in the Press and behind closed doors.

C'mon Eddie don't start it up again, we just talked T4L down from the ledge.

Can you start it again tomorrow? This has been a good read to get through the end of the work day.

I agree with this. No idea about what has been said behind closed doors by Woods about JT though…..do you know or just guessing like the rest of us?
This whole last 3 days or more has just been a BS-fest from everyone involved:
Woods claiming he heard of JT's demise via Twitter.
Cleary saying he hasn't heard from WT management in regards to being our next coach.
Woods' last few appearances on 360-has basically avoided answering anything directly.
The WT managements' press conference on Monday.
JT vs Sirro Snr- one of those blokes isn't telling the truth about that spat.

Absolute cloak-n-dagger stuff all of it, not too much honesty in RL these days....it is a very shady, deceitful business.
Might just switch off from all this toing and froing, media bluster made up garbage from every angle, mindless crap until the dust has settled, we have a brand new coach on board and our " average 4" have either taken up permanent residence at WT for the future or hit the road.
Only then will it be just about the footy and not the rest of this gastro that modern day RL thrives on.

You are determined, I'll give you that. Like one of those annoying kids in the school yard, just repeating himself over and over and hoping, by making it louder each time, there will be a more profound response.

I mean, you use "lol" frequently, how do you expect us to take you seriously?

lol lol lol lol lol

You dont have to pretend….he's quoted as saying that.
Aaron woods said it, you cannot deny it.
Did you pretend not to see the quote provided to you.
I guess youve conveniently ignored it...seeing as it is
what has proved you wrong in this thread, yet again.

Btw...Is this your favourite song?

Ok ok ok you win. Woodsy loveeess the ex coach so much, so much so that he isnt here anymore lol lol lol. Id rather be the annoying kid thats right then the ugly bully who is wrong but gets his mates to back him anyway.

If there is one thing Woodsie would have learned from the last captain when talking to anyone in the media about the coach you always say - the boys" love him" -especially when you are losing. Any thing else could have you labelled as the next coach slayer.

Do yourself a favour and listen to Aaron Woods interview on the WT website.. he was grilled by the media on JT and his (woods) future. A couple of points in my opinion:

1) Woods rolled out cliches to most questions, refusing to directly answer the questions.
2) Woods at no time indicated a desire to stay a WT and captain… in fact he mentioned he grew up A Manly fan...

Poor interview by Woods IMO and his responses are not befitting of a committed Captain

For those who don't realise it, Woods is our only international player and Mal had some nice things to say about him recently. If all players performed to his level perhaps our team would be higher up the table.

I listened to an interview on 10 tonight and he said he simply wanted to know who would be coach at the club.

CH9 just reported if I heard correctly player(s) said JT should have been sacked last season? To clarify after watching the news, ET said the timing of the departure was bad in the context of Pascoe's comments about the season drifting. A reporter then said should it have been done in the off season. Not one of ET's finest moments.

His non committal throughout this whole saga is the most disappointing thing to come out of all of this. He's a poor leader. Appointed because there were no better options.

I believe he is wary after watching what happened to RF. Woods is careful not to comment on matters which belong in the Board Room. He has a long career ahead of him and hopefully that is with the WTs.

I'm not talking about him backing or not backing the coach. I'm talking about him endorsing the club and showing commitment. Instead he's umming and ahhing. Fine as a player. Disappointing as a captain.

How do you expect him to endorse the club? What commitment does he need to show?

Idk maybe talk up the limitless potential the team would have by all sticking together. That's just off the top of my head.

I'm surprised Tedesco , moses or Brooks haven't been interviewed as yet .
Would be interesting to hear what they had to say .

Geez he has had a lot to put up with being at this club and has still managed to succeed amongst all the adversity.
Says alot about him as far as Im concerned not the time to be having a crack at him when again he finds himself at a club in turmoil.

As he stated last night that he 'just wants to play footy' and may I say that would be the best thing for the club to do. Pity its not until Sunday a Friday or Saturday arvo game might have been better to get it over and done with.
In regards to his captaincy well I don't think he's the right choice but will have to go with him …...for now anyways.

Woods sounds to me his holding back on something in his interviews compared to Webster's honesty approach to his interviewing. Woods is holding his cards to close to his chest. Woods and Webster both employed by contract but difference is Webster can answer the questions with honesty and still not say anything against the club. There was a big difference between the two which was interesting.

I know what you mean but my take is manager Moses has him in his pocket and being a tight lipped negotiator to get the highest dollar. He doesn't even have a kid yet and his stressing about $. Money not the be all and end all mate
