Time to give Sironen another run

I think he was dropped to make way for ET wasn't he? He must have been on fairly thin ice at the time but seems to be using his time in ISP well and now looks to be the next backrower of the the rank.

Did he ever have a standout game in firsts?

I was really impressed with him very early. But that was probably under sheens it seems so long ago. It's sounds like he's working hard on his game so maybe another run in firsts may give him a boost to kick on.

He would of haved to improve to deserve a call up,he had four season to settle into fg which is rediculous and still couldn't deliver the goods.

Yeah, he seemed to be in the comfort zone. He needed a kick.

so when he was in the halves??

at best it looked like he had good potential for the 2nd rower, but once he started being required to make 10+ runs a game at proper forwards and 25+ tackles his impact dropped very quickly

Hasn't lived up to the hype, not too late for him to lift his game but needs to do this in Reggies first!

Yeah, that's true. Disappointing.

I agree he needed to be dropped and it doesn't sound like he's smashing the door down to be reinstated BUT the question is he a better option than Lovett? Because Lovett isn't up to first grade standard either (yet).

BTW I notice JJ Felise is coming off the bench in the reggies this weekend! Has he been injured because it was only a month ago he had a great game against the Broncos in first grade. Why the demotion??

Siro's ball skills are better. He wouldn't have bombed that try last week. Lovett is more of a worker. Neither are killing it.
It was always said JJ Felise would be nursed the year because of his young age. Even if he was going good he'd have time off.

Apart from Halutau (and obviously Farah) Sironen is our best option as bench utility. If Halutau needs a breather, put him on at 9\. If Halutau can go 80, no worries, put Sironen at back row/lock

The difference between Lovett and Siro is that Lovett has a go. He's all heart. Siro showed glimpses but played as though first grade was his birth rite the majority of games he played. Hopefully when gets his chance again he doesn't take it for granted and plays like he has to earn it.
