Time to give Woodsy and Teddy a break

This vandetta the media has for us ATM is like nothing I have ever seen. They've even taken to bashing the fans, that's how pathetic it is.

Interesting this is occurring while there seems to be some major issues at Penrith at the moment.
Doesn't Gould have a lot of contacts in the media?
Even his fluffy piece about us, keeps us in the spotlight and them out.
Just sayin!

Shaun Johnson has re-signed with the Warriors - check out this brilliant quote:

_"I could go to another club and another system but I realised winning there [at another club] wouldn't mean as much as winning here. That's what I want to be a part of here."_

Classy stuff SJ.

That's not to say all other players should subscribe to his line of thinking, but rather the class he has handled it with.

If we keep winning and signing big names the tide will turn. The media doesn't throw mud at teams when they are having a good run because it doesn't stick. With two wins from the first 9 rounds having been pre-season favourites to win the comp, and now rumours of internal drama, its safe to say the spotlight will be off us next week. Especially if we put in a solid performance tomorrow night.

So to avoid public attention they met in Roselands rather than Belmore - what's the difference?

Stop trying to be a victim Woods, you could have spoken to the club and got things sorted, even an extension, ahead of the deadline etc.

Fact is, Cleary doesn't think Woods is as good as Woods thinks he is.

You're hitting on something there. Gould is a horrible person to work for (I friend at Panthers has said). The non football staff HATE him because they get treated like crap. I think we forklifted all the good managers from Penrith who can't deal with Gus.

Far from convinced on Pascoe, yet to show he's a good manager, all he's good for is press releases to make him look competent.

What an absolute dud decision punting Cleary for Griffin. Sure they had a good year last year, but Matt Elliott finished second on the table coaching the Panthers one year too. Idk if Gus and Cleary had some kind of falling out. That's the only scenario that makes sense.

"Winning wouldn't mean as much as winning here".

That may be one of the greatest quotes i've ever read from any player. Warriors supporters have got to be proud of him.

I'd hazard a guess he is just regurgitating exactly what Gus Gould's article said re: our departing 3 on Monday. Sounds great though to hear as a supporter, but IMO just a re-hash.

Can't wait for Sunday to express my feelings

It's tomorrow mate. I'll be there. I also think I'll express myself.

How about you 'Johnny come latelys' just concentrate on supporting the team instead of going to the game just to 'express your feelings'. Booing your own players is NOT supporting the team - It will only give the opposing team the advantage, but you probably don't care about that anyway, since you're only in it for the theatrics.

Because this is Australia, not North Korea.

Theatrics. Pfft ! The only one with theatrics here is you. Get a grip.

Yea, this is Australia mate. You are allowed to boo players on your own team and we are allowed to say "SHUT UP*". Booing your own players is NOT supporting your team and just mean. Yes, Free speech does allow you to express your opinions. It gives you the right to say a lot of stupid things, you don't have to exercise that right. We too can exercise that right and respond. Freedom of speech allows you to say many things, a wise man says few.

Woods, Tedesco have gotten serious injuries playing for the club. Their leaving, in part because we have stuffed them around and appear to be in a bit of chaos. I am more sad about Woods going, he has character. Why Boo them, their part of our history and our club. They wear our colours, while they do I want to see them rip in.
