Your lives are governed by rumour and speculation. Surely you have something better to do than listen to this crap.

Maybe not.

Lighten up. Your reading the crap we're writing about the crap we're reading.

Col its your call if you believe it or not , but Geo doesn't post articles that are total garbage

If the clubs decisions in the past don't lead you to thinking this has some truth to it , what will ??

i thought todd payten was with warriors last year and moved to NQ this year? never seen payten with NQ last year iirc.

i'd take cleary over anyone tbh

He definitely was Tig_Prmz , Thurston thanked him in his GF speech or post game speech from memory

I'm not exactly sure what his role is , as David Furner is the main assistant coach

Couple of names from left field would be Furner or Cartright , especially with his boys going on in leaps and bounds

Todd is in charge of the under -20s as well as assisting Green with his NRL duties.

The last thing the club needs is Todd Payten as head coach.

No disrespect to the bloke but he is a rookie coach who was part of the boys club.

No thanks.

Todd would get my vote, he was a very capable lower grade coach and would do a far better job than Taylor, what happened to the style of football we played in the first two rounds, yesterday was booring as bat shit to watch, Moses and Brooke's give me a break, OVERATED

If Payton was the coach we would have been beaten by 50\. He is a loser.

I'd love Payten to be coach, but I just can't see the club ever giving him the job. They got rid of him 18 months ago for undermining Potter. Surely, that means he will never get a job back at the club.

Would Broses be more likely to stay if Payten took over?

Is that a positive or a negative for employing him ?

Could take it either way really. Personally I'd like our halves to stay because they want to win premierships with the Tigers, not because of who the coach is. In saying that whoever the coach is will have a big influence on who we attract/retain. Plus as a former U20s coach did Payten have a relationship already with some of our young guns?

Obviously this is all speculation atm but besides our juniors who is Payten going to attract to the club?

Big fan of Todd and think he could ultimately prove to be one of the best of the next generation of top coaches. As for attracting players, I'd be happy with a couple of Cowboys where Todd is currently plying his trade

At a guess Raven I'd say nobody.

Given that this rumour has been doing the rounds does anyone think that Toddy under the tutelage of a coaching director for 1-2 years is a possibility?

A semi-retired ex-premiership winning coach type of person? (Any names spring to mind  )

Like the white ant or not if the Weststigers are going to move forward and seriously want to play finals footy the appointment of a proven experienced NRL coach is the only option available, employing an inexperienced rookie coach will set back the club years.

I agree, from what I have heard he has something special in relation to people, Tactics and systems …Im not so sure.

Im not convinced that JT must go yet, The truth s we are a young and mediocre side with some unpolished diamonds that could be anything in time.

We are not a Semi final side in 2016 and most of ust thought this coming into this season

Those to wins (Big scores but not 80 min performances) against teams experiencing change have inflated expectations IMO.

I dont think yet another coach is the answer...

I think it is not unreasonable to expect our team to be doing better. We have very good young talent and some very good experienced players. This is a results driven business and it is very easy to say give me to the end of the year to turn things around. But by then decisions about recruitment and retention have been made leaving a potential new coach with a roster from the old coach.

If Wayne Bennett or Bellamy came to this club, there are some on this forum who would find some reason to not employ them.

So predictable.

PS. None of the JT haters who are calling for a new coach, ever name the coach that would satisfy them. Strange.
