Their geographical position nets about 10k a fortnight in crowds. What other Sydney club would be a smaller loss?
Is another national based team in any code looking to move games into the area?
 
The Nrl will make the criteria to remove the team they want to remove,so you can forget crowd attendances number of juniors memberships or television ratings being part of it as you cant get rid of the rorters because Nick would spit the dummy.
 
Makes me nervous what else they have lined up for us this year. Hopefully not more one sides ref decisions.

Just hope Barry and Justin are on to this because any time they blink the NRL will be trying to stitch us up.

Which team would the Campbelltown area fall to if WT were forced out? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm legitimately asking the question as I don't live in Sydney.
 
Absolutely, it's all about money, which is all from the tv rights. What worries me is that Wests Tigers is a favourite of the tv broadcasters, hence our historically pretty good tv showing. But that has nothing to do with WT being based in Sydney. Their mindset may be that the tv ratings would still be good for WT even if they weren't based in Sydney anymore.

Penrith would love to have it, Souths and Roosters have already attempted to push into the area.

We'll be put up against every Sydney team.
 
I'm not sure mate, I don't live there either, but I reckon Campbelltown might end up being lost to another code. Otherwise maybe Penrith, Parra? I really don't know.
 
You haven't looked at s Wests Ashfield balance sheet have you….on top of corporate backing the new COE we will more than compete with those Clubs ,,,With Wests taking control there is no restrictions now on funding...Posting an operating profit last year the Riff and Paws did not...
 
Penrith (mainly Gus) have been putting feelers out to try and consume Campbelltown and Macarthur region for donks.

Gus always mentions the Tigers problems etc. - which is just another way of pushing his and the Riffs own barrel.
 
Why would any club want to take over the running of our juniors when they can let us fund everything and poach whoever they want anyway.

This area should be ours also… Liverpool into Cambpletown makes sense, Add the Inner west and WOW thats a solid heartland.

The WTs should lobby for a Centre of excellence and stadium like the New Parra one out there.

With the backing of Wests Ashfield and its associated strength our WTs should become the heavy hitting club we have always known it could be
