Heard the Broncos are negotiating for him, don't know what price though…800k to much even though he is a good player...

The Broncos can meet their Salary cap by paying $800K for him and still keep players like Darius Boyd and other high earners?

That's easy for the Bronks they just have to get Alan Gee back, syphon $300k from the Leagues club. Bob your uncle.

This rumour has the potential to be like the Luke Lewis thread 80 odd pages at the time

See the Sharks are trying to unload Luke Lewis now, That's the problem buying players at the wrong end of their careers.

1: We have buckleys
2: No offence to Merrin, who is a fine player, but it's crazy to spend halfback money on a prop.

Especially now that he knows we struggle to full fill players Contracts

No more than most other clubs. TPA's cannot be guaranteed by the clubs. So if a TPA fails to pay you can't blame the club. Saints had same trouble with Gasnier.

I would be pretty sure that all contract monies are paid and covered by the NRL grant.

I think our current cap problems are purely back-ended related. You know, inept officials promising the world today but having to actually pay tomorrow. Must like credit card creep at Xmas time for a lot of people. Give the kids what they want now and try to figure how to pay before next Xmas.

Wow wow breathe Cqtiger , I was being sarcastic and referring to media reports that we don't pay our players.
By the way I agree with everything you just said.

I'd take Lewis if the Sharks were playing a lump of the contract.

I'll chip in to get him to the Tigers if I get to spend a night with Sally.

Doubt he'll go across the ditch and leave the missus. Manly or the Roosters is my guess.

Ditch the missus? She travels the world with work throughout most of the year. They talk over Skype most of the time. Wouldn't be a factor at all.
