He's clearly not in the plans.
And some websites had him pencilled in to start in first grade this year.

I get trials mean nothing on a season but geez that was terrible.

Lets hope they are ironing all the crap out now otherwise it’s going to be an extremely long long season and not for the good.

To win you have to play positive football not play not to lose. That is so negative and must impact the belief of the team. If this continues it won't end well for Maguire.

Brooks has been solid and I think Madden has improved. I like the way they’re linking up but Madden has taken the wrong option a few times. Liddell looks good in defence, Dillon has looked sharp but unsure under the high ball and Pauga has been atrocious defensively.

That was so hard to watch...

Nofo talked up that Iverson kid.

LEts start being honest. That was garbage.

I cant take anyone seriously talking up these kids. With the possible exception of Dillon, they were completely outclassed up against Blacktowns best. Looked like men against boys. Even Dillon lacks the fundamentals for a first grader. ITs to be expected I guess as they are merely depth for one of the weakest rosters in the comp but Im sick of the hype around these kids, They are still kids and there is a chance they could improve but I doubt it..... Definitely not 🔥🔥🔥

More worrying for me was the plodding that Seyfarth and Musgrove put in in that second half. That was a chance for them to look like first graders up against the Blacktown boys and they looked like Reggies.

Taipari played quite well I thought.
Had a bit of fire to his game.

Madden outplayed Brooks.
Still looked raw and struggled towards the end though.

Gonna be a long year.

What's that you say, it wasn't touch but a real game, plurrgghh.
It was a shame that the second half of kids running around like chooks with their heads cut off spoilt it for those who had a dig like
Thomas Freebairn and Rua Ngatikaura who didn't stop trying.
In the main game To'a was promising.
Real trial starts next game.

The kids are very far from ready.

Rua will get absolutely walked over.
Madden isn’t up to it, he goes missing in defense and his kicks are terrible. When it was his time to take control our field position went backwards against a reserve grade squad.
Dillon defensive positional play was terrible.

Agree on Seyfarth and Musgrove both were very poor in the second half when they should have been showing the way. Dillon had some nice touches but a lot of poor play to go with it.

It’s only a trial before a long season but jeez they looked like they had just met. I’ll wait to see what they bring next week before pulling the rope out.
