LIVE GAME Trial 2 V Roosters..

Live Game Discussion
I like how they played the type of footy they want to play even though it was raining. Madge was pretty happy with that but they needed to where the correct shoes for the conditions.. Slipping over everywhere.
These 2 kids Rau and Diaz look very good and I don't know there contract status but if not locked away this needs to happen ASAP.. Rau is the Cheese (2) for me and just never gives up..

We were on a hiding to nothing tonight because if we lost the media would of killed us for 2 weeks for losing to half strength Roosters team and now that we won its "only a trial now" - Before the game all they said was the tigers must win this or its season over... Clowns

Can't disagree at all.

Mixed bag for Oli but looks promising.
Had a decent game tonight despite what you've pointed out.

I was genuinely surpised with him in attack. Looked really good. Good footwork, good hands and seems to have a footy brain. Could be a James Grant type centre.

Actually James Grant isnt a bad comparison. I heard an interview with Warren Ryan about James Grant. When they signed him as a gun RU player Ryan knew he could play but was worried about his defence. At the first training when Ryan arrived Grant had been there for 30mins already and had three of the forwards running at him before training and Ryan knew he would be a good'un.

Gildart didnt look fragile in defence, One on one he seemed OK, but again, needs to learn to count (my God....never swap him to Nofos side).

They are muppets.
No trial in the history of professional sport has been “must win”.

When you consider we still have Deouehi, Garner, Blore and others who have played first grade, we are looking much stronger this year.
Hastings will be great in 5 games once he has more combinations.
Gildhart looked good. Reminds me a bit of Ryan Girdler.
Smokey...Toa to become first choice fullback through the year.

Something I havent seen mentioned but was one of the most pleasing things I saw was players pushing up in support through the middle. Brooks, Hastings, Liddle, Laurie. That never happened last year and happened a few times tonight. Encouraging.

That’s my guess as well.
If we get to the halfway mark and are on track, we will need a determined leader to get the job done.
I see this year as Madge clearing out a few things. There’s some junior talent knocking on the door and new blood to push some established players. 2023 is going to look very different

Agree a lot more of that was happening. There are signs of change just not in the defence unfortunately
