LIVE GAME Trial 2 V Roosters..

Live Game Discussion
I think this as well. He wants to win and plays with some passion. He just has to come up with the right option more consistently.

I don't see the spine as settled though. If they play well it will be settled.

Or you overthinking it and he thought he could score?

Seems to be the norm these days.

Melbourne, Cheese and Grant.
Roosters, Verrils and Radley.
Radley barely plays hooker. They use that Freddy or Mitschke guy as back up hooker.

As for Smith/Grant, again Smith is a great lock as well.
Liddle or Simpkin can't play any other positions on the field.

Not many teams carry two specialised hookers in their squad, definitely not the successful ones.

No mate I watched the whole game . Brooks looked disinterested and did not click at all with Hastings. When Hastings took control we looked a completely different team. It’s alarming the one eyed brooks supporters actually think he did well.
Well it was the first time they’ve played together. I thought Brooks was okay, not brilliant, not terrible. Defended well.

Penrith. Api and that Kenny fella.

Maybe this is what was needed for them to work out that there is no place for him in the 17.
G'day @hank37w I've just finished having a look at the YouTube replay of Friday's game and imo Tamou had a very much improved game.
He was much more energetic than I had seen from him in any game last year, and I even noticed he was directing the players beside him at one stage.
In other words imo he played a much improved and much needed Captain's game.

Yeah it was the good version of him last night, running with venom and hunting for contact. He is probably a shot at the 17 with Tamou likely to be suspended.
I know you are not being critical of Tamou @Nelson, but I reckon It will be a travesty if Tamou is suspended.
It was plainly obvious there was no intent to harm in the tackle and it was nothing more than a love tap with the Rooster player not being injured.

The cannon ball shot that Collins put on Hastings was intentional and much more potentially dangerous and he was only fined$$$ for it?
Then he showed what an aggressive player he is when he started to get carried away with one of our blokes in the very last tackle of the game.
Near the end of the game Radley was involved in a crusher tackle on one of our blokes, again potentially much more dangerous than Tamou's tackle, and Radley wasn't even penalised.

Enjoying You Tube ? It's alright hey

Disinterested is the wrong word, he tried hard. Problem is he just wasn't very good
For those who criticise Brooksy’s play, I’d really like to hear what your expectations are from your halfback. What KPI’s would you set for him? Feels like you want him to be Tommy Turbo/ DCE and Victor Radley all rolled into one. I’m pretty sure his coach would be asking him to make his tackles, get the team to the end of sets and get his hands on the footy. He ticks all these boxes most weeks. What we lack is the Turbo’s and the Radleys.

Easy answer …do what a halfback is supposed to do.

I only watched the highlights so was unsure of these things:

1. Are Roberts and Gildart our first choice centres? Did I see Roberts on the Left?
2. Was Seyfarth playing L backrower in the 2nd half?
3. Can Rua play another position? Both Liddle and Simpkin are specialised hookers so won't be able to fit them in one side.

I thought Roberts and Gildart looked pretty good. Gildart needs to learn to count on his own line.

Roberts didnt play on the left. At one stage Starford Toa was though
