Yes it has always been the case that our depth players will decide how we finish up. Hopefully keep their usage to a minimum.

I'd drop Twal and play James.

Only watched part of the match (thanks to @upthetigers), but thought that Twal went well in the minutes that I watched.

He's never going to give quick play the balls, though he did his job for mine.

Didn't look good early with a few errors penalties and spilt balls.... But we held onto possession for the best part of the game... Seemed.like we had the ball forever... We made it easy for ousrselce today.

Need to defuse bombs better and this kicking early in the set is pure benji but does my head in

Was great to see the turnaround today compared to the past few years. Definitely an improved attitude and effort leading to more positive footy. A few select changes to your roster can make a huge difference - even in a short period of time. I worked at the Panthers 2002 - 2004. They were wooden spooners in2001, mid table 2002 and premiers 2003. Yes it's only a trial but promising times.

Laurie was busy and played well, but terrible under the high ball. Against the good kicking sides eg, all the top 8 , he will be found out. I would keep Stains handy as he looks as cool as a cucumber, and i think he will be fullback before long.,. But Laurie is playing well , and deserves to be picked. ??????

Great trial.....I honestly think Wakeham will be a good back up in the halves, Jake Simpkin looks like he has improved heaps this preseason and will go even better with Api tutoring him...there was a lot to like about this trial and we really are starting to look like a decent NRL quality team...well done to the coaching staff and club overall...bright times ahead and I cant wait...👍👍👍

He played 60mins in the backrow was very good I thought. Gives Sheens a genuine utility option.

Was puffing and walking times in the first half.

I worry about his longevity. Always gets targeted in defence by much bigger players. And sometimes gets rag dolled when carrying the ball.
