Yes losing Api is a huge loss, there is no discounting that BUT to be a premiership force, we must have a next man up belief. And that man is Tristan Hope.
1 Hope brings an understanding of our system, very good line speed, contact & energy in defence, a strong voice and is aggressive despite his size.
2 He doesn't need to overplay his hand in attack, just provide good service to our halves & middles.
3 Api will have the opportunity for a mini pre-season to freshen up, clear any niggles & return for a big mid-season period.
4 It allows Hope & Latu to get reps & confidence in the NRL which could be crucial later in the season to give Api a rest during matches.
5 It puts the onus on Luai & AD, they will love the responsibility and focus I reckon.
