i thought he broke his ankle?

poor tuiaki, come on champ!! bring the miracle!

He did break his ankle Izo, I was just comparing to some other shocking injuries I've seen and they've been back much quicker so surely it can't be that hard to get it to heal right.

Wests Tigers advise that no decision has been made on the immediate playing future of winger Taniela Tuiaki.
>
Tuiaki has been sidelined since suffering a broken ankle against Parramatta at the Sydney Football Stadium in round 21 last year.
>
Under the guidance of Wests Tigers Club Doctor Donald Kuah, Taniela has undertaken two surgical procedures, intensive physio, aerobic fitness work, weight bearing activity, and running.
>
“We need to remember the injury suffered by Taniela was very significant and put his playing career at real risk,’’ said Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys.
>
“Whilst his rehab program has been arduous, Taniela has been very dedicated and disciplined.
>
“He has resumed straight line running at near full pace. The next step for Taniela is to test himself with more lateral movement and running.
>
“Taniela has been working extremely hard on his rehab and the most recent report on his progress has been quite encouraging.
>
“Wests Tigers will continue to do all possible to support him in his efforts to make a full recovery.”

Purely based on gut feeling here, but I think we'll extend his contract another year at a reduced salary.

Well it seems there are some who are quite happy that they are proven right and TNT won't be playing again. Shame really.

Unfortunatley that seems to be the nature of alot of people here… All about making a name for themselves as someone who gets the inside mail rather then supporting their team whole heartedly...

his 40 meter sprints are pretty impressive.. i think he will be back but his lateral will be next on his rehab

Well we have given some other crocks a go, Head, Cayless, Toupu, etc lets give Tuiaki more time to ge better.

The club piece sounds alot more encouraging then fox sports! of course it would be tho..

good to hear he is running straight and hard though T-REXX

I really hope the Tigers Management stick with TNT and give him another off season to make a full recovery so he can be back come season 2011 at his devestating best.

I guess I will cop some flak for saying this…..a mate of mine very close to the father of one of the Wests Tigers players mentioned TNT is being wooed by Super 14 (or is it 16 team)....The Western Force apparently.
Time will tell I guess

IF there is a chance he will play they obviously will.. but no use signing him for 12 mths if they know he is broken down.. but as i said his 40meter sprints are VERY POSTIVE

I think their is a big chance he will be playing in 2011, the only concern is how much money is another club is willing to gamble on the big blokes fitness and as posted before it could be rugby or the NRL. Over a year out of the game and in his late twenties is going to be a big call for someone to make.

they should give him a similar job / treatment as skando - sign him to some kind of office/devlopment role and if/when his ankle is better, give him a run in reserve grade and go from there

…hmm not sure how much truth is in this, but I just watched Thursday Night Live on One and Benny Elias said he 'just got off the phone with Roycie about 40mins ago' and said Tuiaki could be making a return to the NRL within 4-6 weeks. He sounded like it was pretty definite, let's hope so 😛ray:

Sun Tzu's "Art of War" must be on the reading list at Wests Tigers HQ.
If any team is going to trot out rehabilated stars at finals time it's the WT's.
Sheensational Sheensanigans!!!

being a tigers supporter is all about dreaming, just like being a shark supporter is about losing and a melbourne supporter is about cheating.
