Tuimoala Lolohea Signs with WT

My cowboys source said they have offered $500k per season x 3 years from 2018\. Beats Tigers offer by around $70k a year but he also said that he hasn't agreed to any terms as of 2pm today

I really wish people would stop posting guesses / gut feelings as confirmation of something. If you say "he's gone to Cowboys" or something, please back it up with your source of information.

Too many people make a categorical statement that is in fact just an educated guess, then the thread runs for another 4 pages responding to the guess.

Far too much silliness and speculation on this one for me, I log in to read what might have happened to account for another 3 pages added to the thread… and it's nothing!

I get home and just skip thru 4 pages of BS, cut to the chase…still nothing.

Carry on

So who's right the cowboys source or the tigers source that said it was a done deal yesterday?

You mentioned in an earlier post that the Cows don't pay overs for players. Their reported offer of $500k seems high to me. What would you offer, based on your analysis?

Give him a deadline

This another case of a player (Lolohea) and club (Cowboys) playing silly (bu….s) with Wests Tigers. I will bet that the offer from Cowboys has a very substantial TPA content. I agree with the deadline. Wests Tigers are being held to ransom by Dutch Auctioneers just once too often. If Lolehea doesn't want go on the bus he can get on to his bike.

we are definitely getting into a dutch auction. they know we have plenty under the cap.
i suspect upto 5 million. 3 million saving from moses, woods and tedesco and 1 million from farah and sironen and 1 million from plodders like lovett ,rankin, grant (take your pic)

Call the Cowboys bluff ..let them pay overs for Lolohea no need for an auction …then target Giddy Up Giddy Up Mosby who has speed to burn and could play fullback...

His versatility gives you a bit more flexibility for his cap % but 500k is redlining. tigers offer was sound to relative market value. No need to get in a bidding war for him.

They gave the last lot about three decades to make a decision, seems fair to let this guy have a weekend.

Well the cowboys source is saying he hasn't signed anything. So who knows. Tigers source both said tui had verbally agreed to the deal and that his manager was seeking a release from the warriors. That was on Tuesday. Lots can happen obviously but those 2 are right up there when it comes to player signing confirmations for the Tigers.

Best idea I've heard for a long time. If Mosby is available Wests Tigers should act now and secure him ffor 2018\. I am sure that after Cowboys secure Lolohea for that exhorbitant sum Wests Tigers would easily outbid Cowboys for Mosby.

Maybe things with JT are not great ..from what I have seen of this guy there must be something going on with the price being thrown around and the urgency of coming in late with a bid.

You maybe right, but I am with Geo, let him go and sign Gideon Mosby
