I'm happy the Tigers seem to have secured Tui as, based on his highlights reel I saw, he seems to have unlimited potential. However, at the moment he seems to be quite unfit and people on this forum said that he didn't play well at five eighth for the Vulcans last week. Therefore, my question is, why are so many people, including Cleary, viewing him as some type of mid season saviour? Surely, if the conditioning and form assessments are true, he is no better option than Rankin so why the rush??

ET to me is our best player. He just doesn't have the mistakes and poor plays in him that other players have.

JLJ was beyond ordinary out there. The play where he grubbered it when all he had to do was pass it out wide and we score sums up his game. They scored a length of the field try.

Im one of what seems the minority who looks forward to Tui as a fullback, but so help me god, I am scared to watch him play in the halves for the rest of the season. I wouldnt give him the keys to run a team around, though in saying that, he has the tools to be a star, but I know we have had well enough of waiting…

Without being relied upon as a playmaker, and allowed to chime in at will he is definitely a force to be reckoned with. But part of me knows he cannot be worse than Moses, the rest of me knows he is likely short of being a 6 who can make decisions for 13 men.

I don't view him as a saviour, but he can create scoring opportunities. JLJ and Rankin can't.

I agree that we could have used Siro last night. He would have matched Edwards (5 runs 31m) & Lovett (12 runs 67m) and could have stood out wide encouraging others to take on dirty work.
