Turbo done hamstring

Tommy Turbo has torn his hamstring again - the other one (right) and not his chronic one. Won't play in the trial, expected to be out until Rd 4.

One has to wonder what he's going to do with his career longer-term. It seems any time he climbs into his peak form, he does his hammys and Manly's finals chances go with him. I know hammys can be managed, e.g. Chris Lawrence used to have a lot of trouble, Justin Hodges renowned.

But as an attacking gliding fullback, his game is built upon getting on an edge and stretching out - he's not a power runner and he doesn't look for heavy contact.

I could almost say I feel sorry for Manly, but, you know, Manly...

It's becoming a real concern at his age and it's hard to see his hammy's improving with age.

Wonder how JA feels about making the finals now?

Feel sorry for turbo. If he didn't play for manly, he would be one of the most likeable blokes in the game.

Feel for Tom. He's a quality player but could be one who has his career ruined by being perma-injured.

Manly will be pushing the proverbial uphill without him.

I read it was the other hammy this time - not great news if both are no good.

Even though he plays for Manly I like him. Really bad luck for the kid

Wash your mouth out😂😂😂😂

A lot of hamstring problems are caused by lower back issues that go undiagnosed.
I think Rowdy went to Melbourne to see are specialist who works with ARL players, he worked on their lower back.

Him and his bro r the only 2 players from manly i like

He is a quality player that carrys scum on his back

Unlucky

Every club goes through injuries. Why should we care about Manly when no other club in the competition cares about ours? It sums up their 2021 season

Horrible news. The Turbo brothers are 2 of the most likeable blokes in the game.
A real shame for Tom, feel bad for him, hopefully he is able to overcome his constant injuries and have a great career.

Poor Tom? What about poor me? I drafted him in a draft league!

 joking of course. Poor bloke. Agree with the sentiments of the previous posters and only wish him the best in a speedy recovery.

I often (probably 3-5 times) see Tom Turbo and Luke Brooks hanging out at a cafe in Surry Hills. They are obviously mates and both come across as pretty decent blokes.

Ch7 reporting hamstring injury may have been caused on a night out whilst racing a fan down the Corso at Manly

Ive seen that video, the fan beats him and to my eyes (might be imagining it) Turbo kind of staggers at the start and doesnt seem to get into full stride. Its definitely possible

Man it will be a sad day if TT gets driven to early retirement because of injuries like these. I thought the Blues really missed him in the series last year, unbelieve talent.
