I'm not saying Peach is the answer, but we have very few players like him that can create something when there's nothing on.

We're paying Mbye to play at saints so probably not any better off financially either.

He’s significantly better, I don’t even think it’s close. Mbye would probably be a better 1, I’d take peachey at centre, 5/8, lock or hooker

Meh, don't see anything in him.

Im in another camp. I have never seen the hype around him, until this year. This year in every Titans game I watched he looked good, very dangerous.

I've never been a fan of Peachey but this year he was pretty good
Perfect 14 for us

If that’s the role he is signed to carry out. Compare Peachey at $400k to Mbyebat $900k. I know which way I’d go.

But we’re still paying $400k for Mbye, so it’s about the same price overall anyway.

Difference being peachey will actually cost us less games and maybe even win a few

Which games did Mbye cost us?

I actually believe we paid Mbye the $400k out of 2021 cap instead of paying TPJ which we were hoping to use the money for.

Good business then

If we add that to the 800k we actually paid him, he is a $1.2m player. Probably the highest paid player in the NRL.

Forget the book of feuds, add that one to the Great tales from Tigertown.

A doco on our history would be a dark comedy.

At least it would be behind us though, not affecting future years cap.

Mbye was a utility back whose best position was fullback but (aside from a brief period) never actually looked like a first grade fullback of any quality. He did not offer any effective cover in the forwards as he was an ordinary reserve hooker.
Peachey should be a lock first and foremost. He also offers coverage at 2nd row, 5/8, hooker and the centres (and has been a bloody good centre in the past). A forward utility like that is far more useful than a utility back for the purposes of bench composition and we needed a lock better suited to the rule changes anyway.

That is why I wasn't as excited as others about the Mbye release as you still have to replace him with someone as good with the money you have left over or it is a pointless exercise.

The maths never made sense for Mbye...particularly not at day 1..and nor at the end..?
I can only think his lethargic presence and attitude around the club with everyone knowing how much he was earning regardless of his inept performance was detrimental to our culture, and best he be moved on...
And I can understand that
Sometimes youve just gotta cut yr losses and move on

Can't even think of a game where he *actually played* for us.

Wouldn't mind Peachey at lock. Mobile. Provides an extra set of hands. And a position we need. How's his defence?

So so defence…
87% tackle efficiency (source fox sports lab)
This is higher than all our backs but lower than all our forwards except Musgrove.

Really? Which one did he have a go in.
From memory - He left Hoffman high and dry a bunch of times in his debut...
Start with that one if you like?
