Tyson Gamble Debut

Fingers crossed it’s just precautionary and they see the rep week as an extra week for him to rest it. Could be gearing for a run with Farah and Mbye on the way. Gamble’s selection makes more sense now.

Unless it's Reynolds who is the one OUT..

Looks like you picked it, Geo

Yes, ABC radio reporting this.

All the best Tyson, we're finally going to find out where you're at! Looking forward to him straightening the attack… I hope!

And here I was thinking Ivan was happier to go into the game with a stronger hooking option
Good luck Tyson

…. just popped into the local club and I can say that the Brisbane league community will be tuned into the game and rooting for Tyson and the West Tigers.

Tyson Gamble to make NRL debut
Author Dan Talintyre Timestamp Sat 16 Jun 2018, 04:09 PM

Wests Tigers five-eighth Tyson Gamble will make his first-grade debut tomorrow when his side take on the Canberra Raiders at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Originally named in the reserves, Gamble will start the match in his preferred position of five-eighth after Josh Reynolds was ruled out with a minor hamstring injury sustained during the week.

Reynolds will miss Sunday's game but is not expected to miss any further game time with the injury.

The only player in Wests Tigers 2018 full-time squad yet to make their first-grade debut, Gamble will become Wests Tigers Player #217 tomorrow and the ninth player to debut for the club this season.

The Redcliffe Dolphins junior joined Wests Tigers this year after an impressive first season in the Intrust Super Cup in 2017 where his side fell just one game short of a stunning Grand Final appearance.

A tall and talented playmaker, Gamble has earned his spot off the back of a strong Intrust Super Premiership season so far with the Western Suburbs Magpies— chalking up five tries and eight try-assists to help the Magpies sit inside the top four of the competition at the midway point of the year.

Gamble will partner Brooks in the halves in the only change to the run-on side originally named with Malakai Watene-Zelezniak returning to the team on the wing and Robbie Rochow in the second row.

The only game I watched with Tyson in the team was preseason against the Cowboys. From recollection he went well. Only a preseason game though.

Reading ISP results, he was going very well with Drinkwater? Playing well in the halves, dropped off since the latter went to SL.

But I back every Tigers players on their debut.
Rip in son.

Says a lot about where Tui sits in the pecking order considering he was our 6 last year.

At the moment I don't care who plays 6 as long as they stay on the bloody field!
This Reynolds thing is really frustrating.
Our 6 9 and 1 change every 2nd week.

I hope Gamble kills it and stays there for the remainder of the season.

He's still been setting up tries pretty regularly since Drinkwater left. I don't know that his form has necessarily dropped off from what I've seen so much as the team generally has just suffered from the lack of an organiser (and the mistakes, the many, many mistakes they make)…

So what about Reynolds? He isn't in the side at all? So why is ET hooker when we could've moved Reynolds there? We're cooked…

I would have put Tui in at 6….

Which would have meant Thompson to fullback, Mahe to the wing, MCK to centre. 4 changes for one injury when we have a 5/8 in the squad.
