Tyson Gamble Debut

Who's to say that Gamble won't develop into a future first grade centre.

Good call. With his build he certainly is a prospective centre. Just have to remember back to Julian O'Neal and Karmichael Hunt to understand good players can be slotted into any position in the backline.

Good on you Demps … at least you are consistent.

Patriot - this is the third time that I have seen step up to fill in gap at a higher level ... the last two he stepped up and made the position his own. In the Queensland Cup last year he filled in only after a few weeks, made the position his and a couple of weeks after he debuted Ivan signed him and wanted him to move to Sydney but as I said earlier he wanted to complete his apprenticeship.

For me Gamble has shown a very strong mental attitude with focus and commitment. I just hope that he stays calm ... which I think he will.

He gets to play first grade which we probably all wish we had the abilities to do.
Living out his dream.

I hope he carves up and proves me wrong.
His time to shine.

Good luck to the young man.

BTW got to love technology posting this while on a flight home to Sydney. Qantas rocks

Looking forward to this, have watched/listened to all the ISP games this year and he has the skill and body to be a quality first grader.

I hope he has a good game and we can get a win.

Rip in Tyson and most of all enjoy it.

He reads the game very quickly in attack mode and backs himself….He may not be a tackling machine but he has a go and won't back off....Always keeps the opposition guessing when inside their twenty metre zone.... he is a headache to handle because he is so unpredictable....Gamble,Brooks and Reynolds on paper are a strong combo and together with Mbye I am looking forward to good times ahead....I got it wrong with Tui...He is a big disappointment, I still can't believe how poorly he is playing now.... :sign:

Like every player to make first grade for the first time i wish him luck and hope he makes the most of his opportunity.Go get em

Wish him well. I’ve said before I haven’t seen in him what others see but what do I know hey!
Man, this is such an important game - we desperately need the 2 points. Not sure it’s the time for experimentation and blooding new combinations.
In Ivan We Trust

Good luck to Gamble, but for me this reshuffle doesn't make any sense. I don't see the point of shifting Reynolds to 9, especially if the reports of Robbie returning are true. I'm all for him getting a crack, but this just seems odd to me.

Me too.
Great for McIlwrick's morale if he's dropped from the 17 without having a chance to show if he's currently NRL standard.

Looks like he was a smokescreen.

Raiders won’t know what’s happening no Moses and the old Brooks to run over. I think we may shock them when they hit a brick wall. I can see Fonua having a field day against BJ. We need to get the ball wide BJ and Austin can’t tackle as well as Crocker and Papalli. Little men to carve them up late in halves Corey, Kev, Brooks.

Good luck Tyson, well deserved chance mate, but what if he goes really well, what does Ivan do moving forward regarding team selections and contracts.

Another "what if" scenario we can now actually test out. Can't complain with Ivan as coach, you tend to see most options given a chance.

Thinking more about this it seems a very strange time to be blooding a rookie in a crucial position, there seems to be no reason for it and we are still hanging by a thread for a finals position.
Tomorrow's game is crucial after 3 losses to top eight teams from our last 4 games… It's really a must win against a team out of the eight but right up our clackers.
Mystifying.
