Starting to narrow the side down now. The boys would want to cut down the mistakes they made against the Chooks, they've got enough firepower to roll the Sharks with that lineup.

Obviously not that well….He was on the field during that time.....

Some surprise omissions and inclusions for mine....seems NAMES may mean more than deeds for these Cubs....

I only saw the last 15mins of the Roosters trial, how did Murdoch go?

Didn't get much ball, made one 40 metre break from an intercept but the Tigers struggled to hold the ball which really buggered their attack.

WESTS TIGERS LEAD SHARKS 24-4 IN U20S TRIAL
By Wayne Cousins

Wests Tigers rested full-back Jake Mullaney, who will now more than likely get a run in the NRL trial against the Sharks at Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday night.

The match is being refereed by NRL referees Tony De La Haras and Steve Lyons.

The Sharks enjoyed the majority of the possession in the opening five minutes and were denied a try after Lyons ruled a knock on just before the line.

Wests Tigers first real break came through full-back Sama Sauvao who raced down the field but couldn't offload to winger Limoni Kamuta.

The Sharks opened the scoring when second-rower Tyrone Peachey bumped off a defender before beating two more in a 10 metre run to the tryline for a good try. Half-back Chad Townsend failed to convert the try for a 4-0 lead.

Wests Tigers levelled the score when lock Matt Hyland stepped and pushed his way over in a three man tackle to score next to the posts. Sauvao converted for a 6-4 lead.

The try came on the back of some good lead up work out wide by Florimo, Bodie Clarke and Jay Clarke.

Forwards Ben Murdoch, Isaac Lui and Junior Roqica made some good yards after coming off the interchange bench.

Murdoch was rewarded when he strolled into an open gap untouched to score near the posts. Pat Politoni converted the try for a 12-4 lead.

A few minutes later, Wests Tigers were awarded a penalty try after Kamuta finished off a backline play to put a short grubber kick through to the left corner.

He was all set to score before being taken out of play with the try awarded under the posts. Politoni converted to give Wests Tigers an 18-4 lead. The score remained that way till half-time.

2nd Half
The Sharks fielded a second team for the second 40 minutes.

Wests Tigers bombed a chance to score in the opening minutes of the second half when centre Jake Clarke dropped the ball with the line in front of him after great footwork and speed by five-eighth Bodie Clarke.

It didn't matter as a minute later Murdoch went straight through the defence to score his second try. Politoni converted the try for a 24-4 lead.

The Sharks looked set to score late in the match but were denied through a double movement.

Fulltime - Tigers 24 beat Sharks 4.

No injuries for the Tigers and a much improved performance after last week's disappointing effort.

Haven't even seen him yet but Murdoch really sounds like he is living up expectations.

He's a powerfully built unit who will hopefully get better as the season goes.
