I think McGregor can win. He has knock out power and he looks bigger. He may have adapted better now to the heavier weight class. Alvarez is also a little sloppy.

Alvarez is a beast and he can win it as well. It's still a good fight but I think the Woodley/Thompson fight is more exciting.

The other fights are also huge.

Alvarez gets tagged a lot. His defence on his feet is ordinary. Connor has the reach, speed and is an awesome counterpuncher.
If they don't go to the ground for the majority of the fight Macgregor wins.

Connor was hardly impressive against Mendes who took the fight on short notice. Only knocked him out at the end of the round when Mendes was gassed.

I wouldn't say he was hardly impressive. ..that fight was a war and Chad is a warrior. It was also 4 fights ago, a lot has changed.

McGregor fanboys think he'll always win….

He'll get slumped tomorrow, believe that!

Chad isn't on the same level as Alvarez, and yeah that win was about as unimpressive as it gets. Also it doesn't matter if you get tagged a bit if you have a chin. Look at Diaz he'll absorb the punishment and will still be taking the fight to his opponent by the end of the 5th round.

Almost!

lol, yeah…. I was wrong.
Alvarez really disappointed, outclassed in there.

Khabib will beat Connor tho.

Im no Macgregor fan either mate…his attitude stinks. However if you get tagged as easily as Eddie does you are in big trouble fighting a puncher like Connor. Just shows how mongrel tough Diaz is because he gets hit a lot as well.

Tell that to Diaz, who obviously lost the 2nd fight to set up a 3rd money fight.

Can't wait for the Connor hype train to end, he's making a joke of the UFC/MMA.

Lol your first sentence is silly these types of fighters dont throw fights especially in that fashion.
Your second sentence is more reasonable. He thinks he deserves ownership rights as he made the UFC. Its garbage. There are a dozen other fighters who came before him that made it what it is…Tito Ortiz tried this crap and it didnt work out too well

Surely you're not that naive. And you reckon you're not a Connor fan hahaha.

Diaz will not get a bigger payday fighting Connor in a 3rd fight. How does it not make sense to throw the fight? And what do you even mean by he wouldn't throw the fight in that fashion? That makes absolutely no sense at all. Losing in a points decision sure as hell beats getting knocked out.

Diaz didn't throw that fight, illogical to suggest that. I actually thought that 2nd fight between them was a draw. Diaz would have made more money by winning that 2nd fight, as he would have taken McGregor's reputation with 2 straight wins over him & demanded what he wanted for his next 'super fight'. There is no guarantee of a 3rd fight (to be throwing the 2nd).

As for Conor, he is not a hype train, he has dismantled enough opposition in convincing fashion to prove he is the real deal.

Still think Aldo is king of the 145 division. The winner in the re-match would remove any doubt either way.

I also don't like how McGregor is spoon fed to get to where he is. He had no right to be ahead of Khabib or Ferguson for that title fight. McGregor could lose his next 2 fights (Khabib/Aldo) and he will be back to being a contender again.

Both fighters have a huge fanbase. The 3rd fight would have easily been his biggest payday and more than any superfight he would have lined up next that wasn't against Connor. I can't say for sure whether or not it was fixed but in the fight game to completely dismiss it is not logical.

McGregor is making a joke of the sport and the organisation.
He's already ducking Khabib, saying he should win a few more fights/be more active to face him.

He might bring the fans in but he's a wanker.

Yep he is. True knob and greedy bastard.
I'm no fanboy, I just knew on a technical level Alvarez didn't stand a chance against him. Khabib on the other hand is an entirely different proposition.

McGregor is in the game to serve himself. Who can blame him? He thrashes his body to be competitive and then gets flogged in the ring. He creates drama and interest in his fights and then backs it up. I have no issue with him. As opposed to Anthony Mundine who beats a retired plumber from Argentina and then proclaims himself the greatest ever.

I love the mindset of McGregor, his interviews are a interesting. But regardless the new owners have to put an end to the circus. Defend the 145 title against Aldo or be stripped of it.

If Dominick Cruz defends his title against Cody Garbrandt @ UFC 207, he should be given the opportunity to step up a division for a super fight against Aldo for the vacant belt.
Cruz has already mentioned the possibility of a super fight. 2017 will an exciting year for MMA.
