Us at BankWest

Playing Parramatta there for our home game will be interesting.
Sorry - but with every fabric of my being I cant cop it.
If ever there is a game that we ne need to win its that one. Which history will show is not a great position for us to be in.

Here is a pic of what I mean about the NW stand (top left) - lots of empty space even when full.

The photo also highlights the thing that annoys me so much at this ground, the advertising light screens, which because of the layout on that side, have up to four rows of ultra bright crap blinding our vision and are very distracting when they change.

We have been particularly affected by the Telstra ones, though nearly all really annoy at night games. Our seats are in rows 11 and 12, between the 30 and 40 metre lines on the other side of halfway, that looks very similar to that of the shot above, so it is terrible when play is in that or the far opposite corner.

Do others have similar issues?

@tigerap I was there for the games against the Eels and Raiders. I had to miss the Souths game because there was a meeting I couldn't get out of. The atmosphere was electric for the game against the Eels, but it was the Eels fans making all the noise. In the Raiders game, us Tigers fans again had zero to cheer for. The game against Souths only had a very small crowd, so it wasn't so great.

All we need is a decent crowd and a decent performance by the team, and people may change their negative views. Look at what the Raiders fans were able to create from just a couple of bays.

@Juro, your points are valid. I was not at the Eels game but it was clearly their fans made most of the noise....The Raiders game, and my first to at Bankwest was miserable and have zero excitement; the Souths game ended up being a great result, but it too lacked any real atmosphere....I'm actually looking forward to what Friday night will be like and our last game at Bankwest, Sunday arvo against the Eels....may turn my views around

I can't make the game next Friday night either, so the Tigers are likely to play well for you.

I think if you get a contest and at least 14k there, it will feel fantastic. In my 2 games there, we've sat behind the posts. I was glad we did for the game against Parra, because everyone on the side was staring into the sun for most of the game. I would imagine looking at the corporate area would drain a bit of pleasure from the game too.

Honestly hadn't noticed the brightness, so I'd have to say no from where I am - upper tier around 40m line. At least, not whilst watching the match. Before the match - hell yes.

What I did notice is they haven't got the lighting quite right yet, because sometimes the ground temporarily over- or under-brightens when they are attempting to change settings, e.g. for kickoff.

Not the “dew suppressant”. That always works so well. NOT. I can’t stop laughing ????

What is it? A gigantic sponge?

The “dew suppressant” gets mentioned a lot at Suncorp as players slip over left, right and centre. No idea what it actually is. It’s a running joke in our family.

Maybe they should hire these guys...?

@innsaneink I don't really notice the advertising banners during the game but do lose the ball in the lights on bombs. I'm sitting in bay 116 on about the 40 mtr line!

I'm in 214 (upper) maybe the other 40 meter line...the LEDs are somewhat level with us... I have a sneaky they may only change during a break in play though not certain on that.. Usually when the ball goes into touch or there's a knock on my concentration on the field is relaxed and I'm probbaly looking around. I think it's only when it goes to certain coloured sign, blue I think... They're quite bright

I have ticket Row 6 Seat 43, but unfortunately I'm not well enough to go.
I've had a couple stints in Hospital.
