Use of Moltzen

Well Marshall had a bad game and he had 80 minutes to impress - does that means we should rip up his contract immediately! :crazy

There was talk in the media only that Moltzen may return for the finals because he was able to run at training but Sheens and the medical staff didn't want to rush him and closed the door on him returning for the finals. The club at no stage came out and said Moltzen was fit to play.

playing moltzen off the bench at the moment is ridiculous. he should being playing a few full games in state cup to get his fitness and confidence back up. playing him for even 20-30 minutes off the bench each week will only hurt his comeback.

This comment doesnt state _"he was about to **play** at the backend of last season"_. It sounds more like someone was plucking at straws… Gawd... It was probably some peanut walking out of Concord Oval wearing a Tigers Cap and Massoud or one of his cronies thought it was a Wests Tigers Official...

It wasnt you by any chance?

What sort of a press release would it have been?

Thanks for coming Watto

No it wouldn't have read like that It would of read " After listening to the enlightening comments of Djeks the Tiger we have decided that if any player in the future gets injured seriously we will sack them " "also if the any player does not play well coming back from an injury we will tear up his contract ' and finally ' If the team plays badly again we will deregister the team from NRL ,burn down the stadiums and give all the supporters and their families life sentences " Probably something along those lines don't you think . I tried to explain rationally but that was not working

That was a fictional press release watto, you imbecile.

And happy, i never said anything about burning the stadium or giving out prison sentences.

Although you may deserve one. A fire or a prison term, i havent decided.

EDITED BY MODS

You make an outrageous comment about tearing up a 22 year old's contract due to his knee reconstruction & you wonder why 100% of posters disagree with you!!

We kept Taniela for a year (& re-signed him for another on spec) - but you'd cast a kid to the wolves despite him having a legally binding contract with the club!!!

This is lower than the I thought the lowest common denominator could reach!!

Use your brain before posting again!!!

In my experience on this forum and othe League forums people who begin things like djecks the tiger are only here to cause a stir, make controversial comments and as such fill the chasm like void in their lives.

Add as foe is a handy, handy feature. Using it is easier and more beneficial thatn viewing or replying to such posts

I'm really not sure where to play Motlz, he needs to be on the field but where?

He either,
Replaces Lui at half,
Replaces Ayshford in the centers, Blake moves to either the wing or the bench,
Replaces Lawrence in the centers, Chris moves to the wing,
Replaces McKinnon at fullback, Wade goes back to reggies,
Replaces Utai on the wing, Matt goes back to reggies,
or he is used as a supersub from the bench.

IMO at the moment none of these are viable options.

Lui needs to stay at half and further develop, Aysh and Lawry are strong centers, Tim's not too flash as a fullback and he's a waste on the wing.
Super sub may be his future but at the moment he needs game time to develop match fitness as well as regain confidence.

It's a hard one..and if everyone stays fit it'll be a headache for quite a while for sheens. We need him in first grade, preferrably starting…..I guess fullback is worth another crack, other wise he's just being wasted on the pine.

Injury has cursed him yes, but we dont need to be carrying dead weight. He did nothing on Monday night. Dont give me this **EDITED BY ADMIN** that he needs game time either. If he wasnt raring to go on Monday night, he never will be. Unfortunately the games history is littered with players possesing huge potential that get cut short due to injury.

Remeber the good times, dont override them with bad ones.

Not at all tigerdre.

Arent you a little concerned that he was about to play at the backend of last season and in the 6 months since then, hasnt improved to close to full fitness

Hey I might be wrong, look at Minichello at the rooters, he came back after what, 5 years?

Moltzen was no chance of playing last year, which further erodes the little credibility you had by posting this utter nonsense.

Anyone who wants Moltzen at fullback is honestly retarded.

disagree completely. Moltzen is a very good fullback.

I do concede he needs to improve under the highball, however so do many other fullbacks.

Fitness shouldn't be the issue here, he is light & had plenty of time to recover during the off-season along with a pre-season preparation with the team..
There are plenty of ways to keep fit other then jogging/sprints, im sure he wasn't a statue over the past several months.

Its a matter of where to play him before giving him extra game time.

I would like to see Lui & Moltz rotate during game time, maybe 20min spells each until we have a clear superior in the role for the permanent position.

I bet a lot of other coaches in NRL wish they had headaches like that Stryker

Aint that the truth HT…I guess I'm just a little worried that he'll hit the road.

Towards the back end of last year I was constantly saying, now that Lui is starting to hit his straps, what do we do when Moltz is fit? We still dont have an answer.....
