We won but lost on Sunday. Is that because we are perceived as losers?Best way to make people remember our name is to start winning. When Wests Tigers are a big deal people will notice & get it right.

Exactly. You conveniently miss that Annesley referred to us as Western Suburbs yesterday. Guess that's ok though. Being sensitive about this crap is what brings us down.
He has more stories than a Chinese skyscrape, PETROSI will give a little insight into our gallant leader Vlandys. I have known him for 50 years. His brother Paul is still a mate of mine. Peter started out as a tax accountant with Hackelton and associates. from there he was catapulted to the head of NSW trots. Didn’t think much of it at the time but looking back it was one hell of a jump. How did he get that high so quick. Did he know the right people? He then went on to Racing NSW once again a huge jump as didn’t do a lot for the trots. Surely he knows the right people because he got the NRL job as well.
no one I know can remember his ruba league career
he was a very ordinary tax accountant but has managed to climb the ladder very easily. That’s his good luck but at the end of the day it’s our bad luck because we are stuck with him.
when he first got the job I posted that he would have some crazy ideas. I was hoping I was wrong but now I don’t think I was.
the whole rise to power seems suss to me but you can make up your own mind I am just letting people know his background. Before anyone can say I am only jealous of his success let me say you are right. I would love to be in charge of the NRL and I am sure I couldn’t do any worse
How's the Forresters Beach team going? If by “CC cup” your refering to the Central Coast comp, I’m all over it Strongee (without any appreciable improvement in my mental health, I might add).
With The Entrance and Wyong playing up in the Newcastle comp, these two powerhouses have been weakened a tad at the local level, allowing a cashed up Erina to lead the field. Keep an eye out however for the Toukley Hawks who have never won the comp up here but are well placed for a genuine dash during the finals. Terrigal will also feature in the big end of season games so when my bus finally arrives at Duffys Road I’ll hit the ‘ding’ and shuffle into the ground to give the Sharkies a cheer.View attachment 2055
Flying under the radarHow's the Forresters Beach team going?
I'm pretty sure Smeg once said we needed to rename ourselves to the Western Balmain Cat-Birds.Balmain Magpies: the winning re-brand.
The other supporters call us Tigpies all the time, maybe we need to become Westmain Tigpies.
mmm KB in the gold crinkly can, yum yum yum.If ever we needed proof that we'll bend everyone's ear over nothing on this forum, this thread is it.
Why not just move this to a 'Nostalgia' thread and that way you can sing Rod Stewart whilst drinking KB and watching re-runs of the 1977 Amco Cup through your rose-coloured glasses to your heart's content.
Tongue in cheek aside, that would actually be a decent yarn-producing thread.
That's it, I'm going to the Nostalgia topic 👍mmm KB in the gold crinkly can, yum yum yum.
Can't get the gold crinkly can but I have some, along with DA and Reschs Silver bullets, in the ridgy didge!mmm KB in the gold crinkly can, yum yum yum.

Don't know why but I realled hated KB in the gold cans. Really don't enjoy any canned or bottled beer all that much. Tooheys New draught is my favourite.mmm KB in the gold crinkly can, yum yum yum.
KB was right up there in the worst beer ever made. Sadly now all I can drink is very expensive craft beer..IPA’s in particular. Once you drink quality very hard to go back. Good thing most of the craft beer is big on alcohol so you don’t drink nearly as muchDon't know why but I realled hated KB in the gold cans. F$#@KEN both are still better than parramattaI'm impressed that after 23 years, we can all still manage to perpetrate 7 pages of wests/balmain hype....
Cans are easy to chill and are safer when ya fishing, but yeh I prefer tap beer or stubbies at the club or home by a country mileDon't know why but I realled hated KB in the gold cans. Really don't enjoy any canned or bottled beer all that much. Tooheys New draught is my favourite.
