Wade McKinnon poised to make a comback with WT

From what I saw on saturday it is clear that Humble actually plays like a traditional half when allowed to.

Great distribution, the shape of the attacking structures is on point and with the exception of one mistimed an excellent long and medium range kicking game.

Instead we have heir Sheens content to utterly ruin Benji as a player and structure the team around him throwing the same old inside hand off set after set and remove his running game from the picture completely

They should call this the Short Memory Forum.
McKinnon got dropped last year , not because of his hammies but because his form went off.
He was replaced by Moltzen and we went on a winning streak.
I quite like McKinnon and don't think he's as slow as everyone makes out but you would have to worry about him getting on the field every week playing harder games in the NRL.
Obviously I am in the minority but I still think Moltzen will go well at half and if McKinnon comes cheap give him a crack - at his best he is a quality fullback.
If he doesn't stack up it will cost peanuts.

CK The one thing we need is a halfback

If Moltzen is the answer why isn't he playing their now

Why ?? Because he was garbage at it
Ryan could be fullback
If we have to have Moltzen in the side he is better at fullback than halfback

Happy , the reason he's not playing there now is because Sheens won't play anyone else at fullback.
He tried Humble there who couldn't handle it so moved Moltzen there again based on his performances at the end of last year.
He's only played a few games at half this year and our pack was totally dominated in each of those games so you can't say he's garbage .
I still think Sheens will move him there eventually - you must remember all his talk at the start of the year about it .

So what your saying CK is it is OK even though the forwards are being dominated not to try and create something ,anything

Why Because he can't create anything

Passing the ball to Benji is not being creative

We could get the Giraffe to do that At least he would try and take the line on

McKinnon would work if we had some real pace in the backline to compensate for his lack of pace, but as we have the slowest backline in living memory I dont think its a good idea.

As for Moltzen, I think he is starting to find his feet again at the back, he was great at the end of 2011 so their is no reason he cant get back to that level. Its all about confidence and playing behind a good team. Very hard to be playing at the back with the team firing on one cylinder

Or if you routinely spray your hands with cooking oil before you run out…

The issue shouldn't be MacKinnon to fullback , it should be Moltzen to halfback That should greatly concern us all

Agree. He is an interchange player at best.

Who ever they play at no7 will struggle under the present set up Sheens has adopted. We need to let our seven play the same role Robson has at the Sharks and free up Benji to do what he dose best and Iam sure Moltzen or Humble could play that role if allowed, you only had to see Humble for BRET on the weekend and what he could do when allowed to

There lies our biggest problem - Sheens actually letting someone play their own game at seven.
Without Farah they will need another attacking option this week.

No issues with Humble at 7 and Moltzen at 1

Can't see too much wrong with the idea. Personally I'd like to see Moltzen back at halfback and hold judgement until he is playing with a dominant forward pack. Our entire team was pretty bad in those first few rounds. That said Moltzen was dissapointing at 7 in his own game.

Anything to keep Lawrence out of the halves.

This, I can agree with. - then it's up to Moltzen to do the rest.

Sheens tried Benji at half before and it didnt work ( although he didnt want to put him back at 5/8 and admit he was wrong). These are two different positions and half is not Benji's position ( he might even be better at FB a la Inglis). How many half backs have we had since Prince left? What has McDonnell been doing? We either wont give our young halves a go or buy duds. Give either Humble, Miller or even Moltzen the job and leave them there.

Some of you blokes (or girls) just do not get it. Moltzen is a liability to this team whatever position he plays. The way things are stacking up with selections etc, he (Moltzen) must go as well as Sheens. It appears to me that the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive are afraid of Sheens and just let him do whatever he likes with the players.

Just cannot see us making the Semi's this year unless things change. And by change, I do not mean McKinnon at fullback.

Ryan, Reddy or Lawrence to fullback, Humble to stay in the halves, two new, fast wingers and a backup hooker is what we need.

Why not give Tim Simona a go at full back.

Leave Humble at 7

Moltzen to bench

Simona
Rowe
Rudolph
Port

There are plenty of options in club

Yeah seems we are scraping the bottom of the barrel, I was glad to see Mckinnon go, will be annoyed if he makes a return.

I'm not opposed to this at all. At least we'll have a fullback who won't be scared of attacking the ball until Tedesco is ready to go.
**I'd love to see Wade following Woods up the middle of the paddock.**

Wade wouldn't be able to keep up with Woods

wade was dropped last year ? wether he was injured or not hes not getting any younger and he couldnt catch a grubber let alone a bomb last year…got replaced by molzten who started the year on bench and now theres talk of him replacing molzten..if this happens then this is one of the low lights for me...I guess its not confirmed so no need to panick but surely we would throw beua ryan there befor old man mackinno0n

Brought skando back-bring back Brett!

Forget it. Leave the team how it is. Stop messing about with it. How's a bloke with Moltzens ability not to mention the rest of the team meant to regain confidence when he, the fullback keeps being bounced around positionaly. Leave things as they are!
