Poor bloke hopefully this tips things in his favour

Sounds to me that Madge is TOO invested in the players, from a emotional perspective.
It seems as though his mollycoddled them too much.
This might be our problem from the get go.
Remember this was a week before we played the cowboys at Leichhardt. And following that the whole focus at the club was honouring Tommy R.

Bitter over Benji being let go and not re-signed.

Buzz talking about the documentary. Airs Monday week apparently.

TWO SIDES TO MAGUIRE FIRE

For a man with such a tough and aggressive exterior, there is a softer and more emotional side to Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire that we’re about to see.

A new documentary on Fox Sports shows he’s not all about kicking over dressing room chairs and roasting his players after frustrating losses.

You’ll get to see it from Monday, July 19, when Fox League launches Wild Wests – Tales from Tiger Town in a four-part documentary. It’s interesting because Maguire’s sometimes explosive antics and reputation as a tough, over-the-top taskmaster are often seen as a reason why the Wests Tigers struggle to snare big-name players.

Viewers will get never-before-seen, raw and unfiltered access to the highs and lows of a season that has challenged players, staff, and fans both on and off the field.

All up, Fox League did more than 500 hours of filming.

In the first episode, Maguire is seen almost breaking down in the dressing sheds after a 36-22 loss to the Parramatta Eels.

“I just want to say what you guys are building is right,” Maguire says.

“You had that team on the f…ing rack, ready to be beaten. And they’re a top-four team.

“We’re all hurting, I understand that.

“But what you’ve got to understand here is that … (long pause)

“I keep going back to … (long pause) f…ing hell, you’ve got me, you blokes.

“I just saw the effort out there is what we’re about as a team. You keep putting that effort in and we’ll grow this team

“I’m a little bit emotional here because of the f…ing effort we’re putting is right and I want you to f…ing believe that.”

Poor Madge, not as jaded as us yet.
I was angry after that game. Nothing new there though.

So why Chammas hate Madge?

Some scumbag brings a journalist some inside information that will help the scumbag by damaging someone else. The journalist gets clicks and maybe more leaks and more clicks in the future.

I don’t think that is true I’ve heard Chammas say he understands why Madge did it.

Ciraldo could be a good one. Especially with Sheens there to mentor

I doubt Ciraldo would come here Gus would talk him out of that

Why would Gus care?

Gus likes us as a team the poor tigersbut he will not recommend a up and coming coach like Ciraldo to come to us it would be career suicide for Ciraldo

Gus said the same thing about Ivan signing up to rebuild us.
You would have to think he was right.

Ivan took an already competitive Panthers roster, rotated some under performers and promoted some talented rookies already in the system and come up with a top 2 team in a year.

Sorry edit.
But couldn’t make the 8 within a year and a 3/4 here.

The Channel 9 television network and its radio station 2GB pride themselves on breaking news and keeping people informed.

Someone needs to explain this to long-time employee Mark “Piggy” Riddell, who works on the weekend Continuous Call team, a show once proudly renowned for keeping fans up to date with all their footy info.

The former NRL player lives directly across the road from Paul Vaughan’s home in Shellharbour, where St George-Illawarra players held their illegal barbecue last weekend that had to be shut down by police.

Riddell has admitted he watched the drama unfold from his home on Saturday night, as two police cars arrived and players either snuck out, ran from the scene, hid under beds or were forced to leave by the cops.

Six police officers, a dozen NRL stars recklessly breaking state laws, Covid-19 breaches and one of the biggest stories of the year.

Nah. Copping a couple of hundred-thousand-a-year to work for a news organisation doesn’t matter. Let’s not say anything.

Riddell has since gone out of his way to play down the incident.

Despite a neighbour making a noise complaint to police, Riddell wrote on social media: “When I got home I could not hear a thing.”

He has also been accused of giving the media a hard time while his colleagues and other journos covered the story in Shellharbour.

2GB even received an official complaint after it was alleged he told a cameraman words to the effect of: “get a real job you grub.”

Riddell’s behaviour has shocked network heavyweights Ray Hadley and Ben Fordham, who have both slammed the players for their irresponsible actions that could potentially have brought down the entire competition.

Interestingly, Riddell did not appear on his regular sports betting spot on Hadley’s Friday show. We’re not sure he’ll be invited back any time soon.

Riddell has since deleted his tweet is response to Rothfield’s article .
I dare say Riddell may have received a call from one of his more “esteem” colleagues to do so.
