Warriors coach Stephen Kearney has been moved on by the club with two years remaining on his contract after Friday's heavy loss to the Rabbitohs.

NRL.com understands that Warriors players and staff were told of Kearney's dismissal while in camp in Terrigal on Saturday afternoon.

The club is yet to make any official announcement on Kearney's future.

stitch up for kearney.....in a time that stability for that squad is desperately needed losing him would be the worst for the playing group....

You I think it is pretty low ..the Warriors weren't great but there are a helluva lot of extenuating circumstances with their whole situation and injuries

If you were the white ant.....you wouldn't want to take over right now either.....Warriors will be a shambles more than usual for the rest of the year and I feel bad for all of them

Dog act. No fan of Kearney as coach but poor form at a time like this. Amazing he loses his job but McGregor and Seibold are still safe.

And Green and Morris and possibly Madge if we lose today

I doubt madge is concerned for his job....

It's a pretty low act considering the circumstances this season.
Isn't Nathan Brown an assistant (saw him in the coaches box during the trial). He has form in turning clubs around

The Warriors need a no nonsense uncompromising coach Geoff Toovey is the man..but then again the Warriors players seem to have to be handled with kid gloves .. This is the problem maybe !

I don't rate Kearney as a coach, but that's a pretty harsh call given the circumstances. Either way he must be looking forward to getting home to his Family.

Clubs all want to push the eject button very quickly when results don’t happen. In reality it takes a long time and a lot of luck to climb the ladder. Look at Parra, you have to keep chipping away at and build your roster up.

Considering the Warriors unique situation you would have thought they would have given him some slack
