For me the missing part of the puzzle….now I understand why Humphreys was put in the job...3 years later smoke & sheens still rules the Board..and until both disappear we have no chance ...excuse the pun but a leopard never changes it spots...Looking at what is happening now.. Sheens is trying to 'go back to the future' and create another 2005 ... Trouble is it is now 2013 whilst I agree there needs to be player change ..unless someone on the Board has the balls to do it ( sorry if I offend you Dawn) we are in for seriouspain

SnowLeopard if Sheens is sacked Humphreys is on borrowed time

Happy.. Unless the Board is changed nothing will change…reading between the lines on the forum it seems when ever someone has a real problem they go to the Board or probably someone on the Board (not sure who it is) and they get what they want. This undermines the CEO and he ends up just being a figurehead just like Humphreys is now. From what I see the Board has been in awe of Sheens in the past (saying stuff like he is the Australian coach who are we to argue) and until some has the balls to stand up to him we will suffer the same problems. The long term prob is if we don't change the board then situations like what is happening with sheens now will continue year after year. I can understand why this happened in years gone by but an NRL club is now big business and if it ain't run like one it will go broke fast

The board is hamstrung by Harry T who is a Sheens supporter and Harry will more than likely pull his support if Sheens is gone

The club has to find another Sugardaddy or be run more profitably

It wouldn't take much for us to be in the same situation as Cronulla ,Parra ,Penrith or the Titans with a few bad business decisions

This incident was when I first strongly got involvedd in the push to remove Sheens. 3 years on and my distatste for the man has only grown.

He may have gone about it the wrong way, but Longmuir was right.

But if Humpty is sacked, we will have a new Coach mid February at the latest…

Take too long Watto

Sheens has to be gone within 3 weeks of the GF or it isn't happening Humphreys or no Humphreys

Sorry guys … Don' t think sheens is going anywhere... If we want change the focus needs to be on the Directors ...they are always the sort of people that will protect there arse at everybody' else expense..especiallly those that are on multiple Boards and stand to lose credibility if one of the companies they are a director of is constantly in the public eye for the wrong reason and/or accused of trading insolvently

If Longmuir had stayed in charge, we'd have had 3 different coaches in the last few years, Benji and Robbie would have left a LOOOONG time ago, Adam Dykes would have been our halfback, John Lang our coaching director and we'd be Cronulla circa mid 2000s.

His removal had more to it than simply a rift with Sheens, it was a guy who had never done anything other than marketing in a footy club getting power hungry when he had control over footy ops. When a CEO with no footy experience is the one doing recruitment, you're in a bit of trouble.

probs a very stupid questions but the board involves the sponsors? is harry t in charge of the board? and final question, what is the MAIN role of the ceo?

Thank god Longmuir was shafted.

Re-reading those emails and posts reminds me he sounded like an 18yo kids fresh out of his first year of business school, bristling with buzz words and corporate speak. High visions and zero knowledge of real business and how it works let alone how a football team and club works.

Plenty here are dirty on Humph right now but at least he has the runs on the board in business and despite team problems, the business of this club is run well.

Of course Longmuir was quickly snapped up and is now implementing KPI's, worlds best practice, personnel empowerment, monetary facilitation, strategisation at which club or world leading business?

For what it's worth this was posted on Warriors Forum

Reading Andrew Websters blog on the Daily Telegraph.

He believes the Warriors are dead keen for Sheens in 2014.

Rumours present that Benji will follow Sheens but not much substance to them.

Hahaha runs on the board

"Tim drives us all mad moving the gym around"

Please….hes a numpty

Well in corporate experience and success he actually does have the runs on the board.

Not as a football administrator though and I think that is where alot of things start to unravel an a way. That stuff can come with time though.

To call him a numpty is laughable though

Really smeg.. What is his corporate experience.. Ask as most people would think he got the job cause of his dad's relationship with the club

Air New Zealand, QANTAS, Stella Travel all at board level from memory.

Thanks smeg.. Checked his LinkedIn profile .. Mentions Stella but not the others… Stella is new name for the old jet set travel..and his job was based in NZ so only a very small market... not sure what running a travel company has to do with running a rugby league club .. Other than possibly having an ability to move people around

I dont give a stuff about his previous stuff, he has done some good things here, like Sheens…..but his shortcomings are becoming evident very rapidly

Allowing members to walk without even an attempt at reconsideration....well thats plain pathetic imo

Seems to me like his skin is fairly thin, or maybe the details I mentioned in my email cut a bit close to the bone for him. He had the chance to come out of the Moltzen saga looking like a man, he chose to act like a conniving rat.

Seems to me that all Longmuir tried to do was his job, be the boss....Humphrys smart enough to know who the real boss is....that says it all, we need a real leader, I know theyre (WTs CEOs) always going to be hamstrung and restrained by the board....50/50 I have said from day dot will NEVER work, and its not - to its potential.

Its going to take a long time for this club to be free of Sheens stench, Humphrys a victim too

Initially I was a fan of Humphries as his business background was quite impressive on paper. But Humphries lost a level of respect from a lot of people at the club when last year when Simon Dwyer was injured and he took some heat for the medicos handling of it.And he came out the morning after the game and he said Simon will be right to play next week.Too bad Simon will never play again.Im an old Balmain boy but a lot of my Wests magpie friends have said that on countless occasions he has fronted at Wests AGM'S and made a lot of promises for the magpies and the southwestern area only to provide zero delivery on these promises.
