you guys need to sit back and relax. We went through this with LOTE and it all turned out well

100% agreed! Like I said the other day, patience  *taps nose*

If everything is fine why don't they just do the deal Anzac Test week would of been the best time .Every day that passes gives everyone else the chance to come up with a better deal .I want Blair as much as anyone and hope my source is way off the mark Please don't tell me they plan on waiting til the week we play the Storm . Why stir the Storm up

THE Tigers have fought off a late approach from the Roosters to sign Kiwi international forward Adam Blair. It hasn't been announced because Tigers officials are still reeling from a massive fine this week for salary-cap breaches and know it would be a bad look.
But take it from me, it's a done deal and Blair, one of the form forwards of the NRL, didn't come cheap. I'm hearing he will set the Tigers back almost $500,000, which means the club will have to clean out several stars to fit him in.

I hope we've signed him and we keep Woods, BMM and Gibbs or Fifita.

And if we have signed him they should just announce it.

Gawd I hope so… Pay him double to get him before June 30 this year!!!

On Troy, whats his thoughts that we get Blair at the expence of another Forward???

as mentioned in a previous post in another topic, maybe wests-tigers are a bit hesitant to announce his signing at the moment since they got fined for being over the salary cap

will be interesting too see if Blair is coming here, who actually gets moved on..

cause im not going to say Yes we have him in case we dont..

nothing is ever 100% untill the contract is signed.

i made the mistake years ago saying Richards was coming back.. he pretty much was a done deal until the last minute.
But on Blair from what i have been told it looks positive. There is no certainty.

as for my opinions on loosing another forward.. it was that of everyone elses on here, Not overly happy, till i heard the reasons for being allowed to negotiate.. The club knows what they are doing… For long term gains its the best option... Fans wont like it but down the track they will understand why

The best thing the club has done is let Gibbs and Fulton possibly earn more than what they're getting now. If they cant find a better contract then the club has said they will honour their current contract. It's a win/win situation for both Gibbs and Fulton which the club should be commended for.

Yeah agree - let them suss the market out - but I believe there will have to be some guys let go.

Where I agree the players are in a win win situation, Iam not sure what message it sends them about how the club values them and what future role they have at the club

How do u figure that when it was the players agents who asked for it. ??

Why would they ask for it when theyre both contracted until '14?

The club will have instigated this.

Perhaps they were approached on the quiet by another club??

doesnt really matter at the end of the day. Whats done is done.. the wheels are in motion. if they continue to go round they will.. if they stop they will..

But as i said there are pretty good reasons as to the decisions they have made.

i as a fan can see the understanding behind it.. The problem is 99% of fans never get to see behind the doors as to their decisions

It's not just decisions like that Troy, as you would know, there are circumstances that are not made public as to why certain players get picked in certain positions and the public understandably scream the joint down.

I assume T-Rexx it's because we have a great crop of juniors coming through. If you talk about players like Fulton and Gibbs, sure they are great, but they aren't amazing and blokes like Fifita, BMM, Woods, Groat, Bregorovich, Sironen have that potential. There is only limited places in a side and if you don't cut players like Gibbs & Fulton now, they could be embarrassed to be relegated to the bench or worse, state cup when these juniors progress.

A player of Blair's caliber will always hold his position.

Even though some people might be upset, I could definitely understand it if the suggestions of who's going/coming are true. I think most people will. We need to make space for the future before we lose those juniors.
