I AM WRITING THIS TO EXPRESS MY UTTER DISGUST AT SEEING BENJI IN THE BLUES JERSEY.

This display of disrespect and disloyalty is truly embarrassing. It has shown a side to Benji that reeks of petulance and it is shameful on so many levels. Not just for all of us Tigers fans in general, but especially for us hardcore Benji fans who still believed that he had some class. Now we all have egg on our faces.

I have been the most ardent supporter of Benji, but even I would demand the Tigers drop him now.

This is now out of Potter's jurisdiction; it is now Tigers management who simply cannot be seen to tolerate such impudence. I would almost suggest that it is the NRL who should step in, as not only has he shunned the Tigers by doing this but It is a slap in the face to the entire Rugby League fraternity.

I think Benji should be dropped to NSW cup for the rest of this season and censured by Tigers Management for this total arrogance and disrespect he has shown in the whole debacle of his association with Tigers !!!At the press conference after the Eels game he had the body language and demeanor of a little boy caught in the girls toilets in the Principals office to be disciplined!!!He wore a hat that had no Tigers LOgo and colours and I believe his Tigers clothes if he wore them were obscured completely!!!Get this mort off our team and good riddence to that pathetic joke of a game Rugby Yawnion you disgrace . I would rather watch Netball then watch that imposters game as it is an insult to a persons intelligence!!!

I have never criticised the guy, quite the opposite actually as I thought he seemed a decent an loyal person and the club are at least as responsible for the contract rabble.

Whilst I don't expect footballers to have great intelligence, they certainly should have enough smarts not to wear different colours whilst still under contract. If not surely his manager should have stepped in.

Suffice to say, he has lost my respect, and probably any right to see out his career in a suitable fashion

seriously, does anybody really give a rats about this? i don't think it's as bad as some people are making it out to be, if he signed with a rival NRL team and was in their jersey a la Craig Wing then yeah i'd be mega pissed but he's going to union, who cares.

I don't know why we are getting all touchy feely.
He is going, seriously, we loved him when he did all the good stuff for us and won us games.
Now his form has been rubbish, he seems to be getting on people's nerves doing little things that we don't expect Benji to do.etc.

But in all honesty it's not the end of the world.
I'm not Benji and I don't know what he was thinking at the time but I'm willing to accept he didn't mean any harm or intentionally tick people off. (Maybe the management, board and coach but not the fans).
He won't be there next year and we will get over this drama.
Lets look at positives for next year. New signings , new youth and blood and hopefully the winning culture too.

It wasn't even a rival teams jersey i legitimately can't see anything wrong with it. His teammates seem to want him to stay for the rest of the season. Blowing up about this is a MASSIVE overreaction to a minor incident. He's leaving here loathed and despised for pretty much no reason in my opinion. People are attacking and niggling every single little detail of his life. He didn't show up to the captains run before the Gold Coast game, but people don't know what happened before that, whether the team encouraged him to etc. he smirked at something concerning Potter's future at the club but for all anyone knows it had been an inside joke between the two. A lot of the hate is based on assumptions and petty things. Whilst I can understand frustration over this incident, I still think it is an overreaction. Were it a Souths or Manly jersey, I'd get it completely. But it's for a team the Tigers will never compete against based in an entirely different country.

He can still leave this club as a legend without being despised but its up to us (the fans) to stop attacking him every time he breathes or moves. Every game, he's giving it his all. His all may not be good enough at the moment, but he's legitimately trying. Trying both to play good footy, and win back some approval. I think we need to give him a chance.

I know I'll probably have an angry mob after me for supporting the man when he's obviously having a hard time, but whatever. That's my opinion on the situation.

You might have an angry mob after you but you won't be the only one.
There are other people like you who do still support Benji readdress of what's happening.
I for one, can't start hating the bloke who has spent all his playing career giving good service to the club.
Yeah sure enough he is making some very wrong decisions and judgment is wayward but that doesn't warrant us fans coughing up so much hatred for the bloke.
It will all blow away soon.
