The board needs to do a bit of soul searching about how to set the club up to develop and keep our own talent because the days of buying your way into a premiership or even the top 8 are well and truly over.

When you can't get the players to play, it is over. I called for it after the Titan's game when Payten gave Maguire a tactical enema.

And it was just that...Madge was slaughtered tactically.

Look, I don't want to harp on each week like this...but the man is not going to change. He has no tricks up his sleeve.

Unless the motivational speeches suddenly work..."I believe in who this group of men can be"...and everyone buys in and lifts like supermen, then we are in real trouble.

Because the motivational / rhetoric is all he really has.

What you are saying is that Madge cannot bring out the best from players which find there way into. or on the cusp of first grade. This directly opposite to what our reserve grade coach as done. Players don't want to be put continually under pressure for what they believe is not required. This huge unnecessary pressure on players explodes on the playing when young players lose whatever confidence they have. No wonder players, unless they are really desperate, don't want to play for a Madge coached team. Sorry, but it had to be said.

Possibly. I just think the club has semi professional attitude. Maybe attitude is the wrong word but I think we are run as a semi pro club.

But it is fairly evident at this point he does not have the coaching ability / game plans to go to the next level. His bench use is terrible...he repeats his own errors.....there is absolutely no structure in attack...and the D cracks 90% of games as soon at tested.

We need a much better coach in terms of game plans at this point. **We have a host of young, talented, players coming through. The future 'can' be bright, but we need to get it right.**

As I said, Madge has done his job...post Cleary he was the right man for it. But it is really clear at this point he is not the man for it now / going forward. Go and get a Ciraldo / someone young and modern. We, literally, have no attack other than Luc and Laurie trying stuff themselves. And the D has no resilience.

It is really important we get it right. The players need a much better tactician / they need to learn / they need much better bench use / they need much better strategy. He has failed really badly in all those areas for a long time now.

People will say "he does not miss tackles"...but he picks those who do. People will say "he does not drop balls", but he oversees the same mindless game plan each week that sees them not know what to do or where to run.

The team collapses almost every week 25 min mark on...yet the bench use never changes or adapts. Think about that...

Whilst I admire the loyalists, we need much better coaching skill. Actual tactics (his assistants did most of that at Souths) and actual game plans (he has never had anything other than bash and barge / kick high). We need more.

So his job was to make this club go backwards because that's the only job he's done successfully ?‍♂️. He's been woeful as a coach and you'd confidently say he's lost the dressing room again.

I think his ideas and philosophies are the Right ones , but his execution , is falling on the young kids deaf ears . It’s telling that a Madge loyalist in Musgrove was the one who started the free fall today .

As today is Anzac Day, your phrase "Madge was slaughtered tactically" reminded of the British Generals at Gallipolli. Their tactics were quite irresposible and we know the result. The analogy is that Madge is Wests Tigers' general.

And I want to make it clear, I think Madge has done his job...the club has turned around, the depth is better...we had a reserves who were a complete joke, who are now looking great. The structure is in place ...but Madge is not the man to take them to the next level.

He has done his job...but the young players now need a real tactician / coach. Not a motivator.

And the semi professional attitude at this club starts around the board room it has been for many years .,a mediocre bunch ,this is where the winning starts in an organisation !

Miakele being dropped was a bad decision. He has been good but just getting limited minutes. Seyfarth is a worker. Tamou is a worker. Twal is a worker. It was the wrong decision to play Seyfarth this week.

Those little decisions make a difference.
