WE HAVE TO TAKE ACTION!

Fair bit more going on than that. The many & various content creators uniting in support of the club’s future, the thousands of social posts, anti-HBG media articles, emails to NRL HQ, Govt & industry leader support etc etc etc, all to try to get some sort of action/intervention happening.
It will get a lot of media attention which always helps.
Should have ideally been this weekend.

You criticised the fans last time they bandied together too from memory. Why wouldn’t they do it again when their efforts had a meaningful result which is currently being completely undermined?
It seems like the obvious thing to do. And yes...for the first one to get a bit of noise going and a bit of attention it's fine...HBG will ignore it and everyone goes back to work on Monday. The media attention will be dictated by the number of people that show up...

Last time, the pressure was on to get an independent review done and follow the recommendations. They did that...for about 9 or so months, then they decided they didn't like it, and they've gone back to what they had before. Now, they are asking them to sell the club...they won't just agree to that. Any sales will need to be forced.

it was always undermined…..As if they give a shit. Really.
It’s about money and that’s it.
If you guys are serious, you wouldn’t give a cent to the club this year. That means no going to games, no buying merchandise, no streaming subscriptions….ill bet none of you do it.
A HBG owned club not lead by Richo won’t get a cent out of me this year. And they’ll run last.

Thanks for the feedback 👍
Obviously the point hasn’t gone through so here’s something more in depth.

Boycotting finals/reps - So as a genuine rugby league fan I should just not watch the best games of the season. The games will get massive viewership regardless so a couple thousand tigers fans boycotting won’t do anything.
NRLW - So we are allowed to watch regular season NRL games but not NRLW?? Why would you harm the women’s game which is still developing?
PayTV - as if that will do anything. I’m also pretty sure most people don’t have PayTV just to watch every Wests Tigers game so they then miss out on the other things.
Don’t support WT Sponsors - Yeah because they made this decision? They don’t deserve to be punished for something they didn’t do.
Boycott Vegas and Magic Rd - Just by viewership numbers? Because I doubt many of our fans are actually going to these games. Again unlikely to make any sort of tangible impact.
Unfollow NRL - How Will this make any sort of tangible impact?
Unsubscribe from NRL emails/cancel NRL Online - I didn’t even know this exists. I highly doubt the NRL will even care in any way.
Threaten Swans Membership - I mean I know it’s a joke but yeah definitely wont achieve anything.
Don’t buy merch - I mean is this affecting HBG or the club? (genuine question)

The others are ok.

I’m all for making your voice heard. Go to the protest. Spam emails etc. etc. but your list is highly HIGHLY unlikely to have any impact whatsoever I’m sorry.

What is the end goal though?
HBG say it’s not worth it and sell up? Can’t see that happening. Not unless all the players leave and they are forced to give in.
The NRL cancel our licence? That’s not a great result.
What is the hopeful outcome a rally heading to their premises going to achieve?

See how you feel about the NRL in a few months time when the diabolical HBG Tigers are 0-10 and our best players all want out. Maybe it hasn’t hit you yet what all this means.

Ok I’ll check in on you later next year.
I don’t see how this top level administration change will affect on field performances to the point of coming last place. They are still all getting paid.

You hate the coach and ironically he’s bloody important now, if he doesn’t walk himself.

Regardless of what you think of this whole situation, the people power of Wests Tigers supporters unhappy with HBG is getting a lot of momentum and a lot of attention.
I was at Wests Leagues tonight, didn’t see any board members, but all the staff are very aware of what is happening.
I think the people power will either force HBG to try and save face by convincing Richo to stay on and put out a statement backing them, or sell as they will just be losing money over the next few years with a large amount of supporters boycotting.

the nrl own the license they could in theory tell HBG to pi$$ O$# and hand back the licence and see if someone else would buy it
And if someone else buys it what will we be called then? The Timbuktu Turtles?
I don’t get why we wanna take the chance of the NRL taking back the licence, I don’t trust the NRL to give it back to us and why would they?

Funnily enough if the team improves even after unfavourable board changes, they will probably survive and business as usual.

Until the next brain fart and it will happen again.

nrl own the licence and name wests tigers
sale is contingent on keeping the name
give back to who ? they would be taking it from HBG

As always Tucker you put a bit of realism amongst the chaotic thinking, but I would say if the fans boycott their support in big numbers which is likely to happen, that in itself could easily demoralise the playing group and effect the results.
I’m not saying it’s good or the right thing to do, but the majority of fans have made their minds up and I think a boycott will happen unless HBG convince Richo to stay on and publically back them, or they sell.

No, I asked what PVL can do that is positive for the club considering that all you podcast people are urging everyone to bombard him with emails.
If all he can do is cancel the licence, then why are you pushing people towards that outcome?
The NRL can put an administrator in place while an investigation takes place. At the conclusion of the investigation the HBG would be provided with recommendations for the future governance of the club.

If the HBG rejects the recommendations then the licence can be revoked.

what a surprise. the career contrarian takes the opposing view once more.

weak men like you have created hard times.
lol such a low effort reply.
You can’t state your case. You just like being one of the “leaders” talking yourselves up on your little shows. It’s all hollow noise. You are all hypocrites who give thousands each year to these people you apparently despise, then pat yourselves on the back.
FYI this sort of manoeuvring is commonplace in high level corporate worlds. CEO’s are transient. Owners buy and sell constantly. You just suck it up and move on….as the players will this coming season.
You seriously need to wake up and then possibly grow the F UP while you are at it.

Mate I don't think they give a shit about losing money. HBG have got plenty of money and growing.

The debenture holders cannot be removed. 5 million loss or 5 million profit...zero accountability.

This is all just a wrestle for control amongst factions of debenture holders and they don't respect the damage they are causing.

I truly believe, that they believe, they will get control and they will fix it their way and everyone will live happily ever after....the problem is they are deluded.

You’re not getting the point.

It’s not the NRLs fault the Holman Barnes Group is run by a group of idiots.

Additionally, the point was how are ANY of the points you’ve listed going to categorically enact any meaningful or measurable change. It won’t. That’s why I responded because I don’t want any fans wasting their time on things that won’t have any impact on the situation and if anything makes them lose out.

Anyway, nice job showing me how the points you made will actually get the benefits you desire. Oh wait you just ignored what I said and moved onto something else 🤷‍♂️.

How will that help the club?

You missed my point. It was a list of ways that fans contribute money to the sport. Which gets passed onto clubs including HBG. If the NRL don’t stand up for us, we have the right to withdraw that funding. Nobody said you have to.
