We will likely be last next week...and that will be okay...

100%
We must lift towards the backend when some cattle return and show prospective players what we can do.
We need to attract more players. A wooden spoon is a barrier of entry for this task.
Do you know what guys, and girls sorry, and transgenders double sorry, and whatever I've missed triple sorry, I'm so happy that I said hello to my baby grand daughter on the phone this morning, I said in googly goop words to her and apparently she smiled.
Tigers losing, in perspective, it's not the end of the world.
We'll just live and hope, apart from 2005 we've been doing it for so long now.
I just hope another 2005 will happen before I'm pushing up daisies.
Merlot, I'm here buddy, speak to me ol trusted one! 🤪

They will still overcome their adversity and finish top two though. Not us. Different excuse every other week. Totally agree our squad is the issue, who’s accountable?
And so they should they still have quality players without those two but couldn't match it with a full strength Penrith.
Not sure one person can be held accountable for a run of injuries - can they? We were outplayed by a full strength Cowboys squad that have won 5 on the trot for good reason. They were tipped to win by every one for good reason.

for who and why they have been out there since Hastings has returned,we have been punching above our weight, only time switching off has cost us-due to so much defending at times

Can you just be honest enough to see that this team is competing with so many changes and the last few weeks we are basically a makeshift side...If we could field our top 17 week in week out maybe we would be in a far better position...
I noticed one of the commentators said tonight that Hastings decided not to fight his suspension in case he would be out for longer so he took the 3...he is showing more fight than any other players we have bought on huge money before and is helping to lift the team and help the youth...there is an upside to this team and when they all are fit the job of winning will be easier with their guts and determination...
Hastings fought the suspension and lost that was the problem he was never going to get a downgrade and went from 2 weeks to 3

We have fielded an ordinary roster for years. Winning starts in the front office. I suspect our front office is worse than our team by many miles.

If they have 9 players out then it is highly unlikely they will achieve what they would with their top squad.

Quite a competitive race for the spoon this year. Based on the first 5 rounds we deserved it. Since then we'd be one of the better spoon teams I've seen but if our injury situation doesn't improve I think it is us, Dogs or Knights. I don't really see a clear contender for it yet though.

This list of players out seems to get longer every week how many of players out are A grade standard . Yep not an excuse just fact

I'm loving the positivity. There is heaps to like. Hastings is a marquee player.
Absolutely he is.

And the thing I love about Jacko, is that you know his heart is all here. He's not a player I have to worry about losing because he wants to be here.

Opposite to someone like Catterson, who as soon as he got some form and offers he jumped ship.

If you read my posts I’m not blaming the players for being what they are. I’m dirty on the club for putting together a bunch of injury prone nuffies. Pascoe has failed over and over.
T looked for an image of an idiot. Pity they do not seem to have one.

Following up on one of your comments.
Hastings challenged the grading on the 2 week charge instead of taking the early plea. He ended up losing and getting 3 weeks. Not sure how he would of been at risk of more than 3?

i just really hope we give Doueihi and hastings a go together in the halfs with Brooks at 9 it just has to happen
i'm fine with Toa and Roberts in the centres and nofo and ken on the wings
sadly we still need a good fullback cause im not sure if laurie is good enough

I have called for a coaching change for ages, but things have definitely turned around. You can see a 'team' out there and a game plan now.

Whether it is new assistants...whether it is Sheens overseeing...or (IMO) Hastings being the missing piece...we have improved.

We are decimated...and next week get the Dogs, who will likely have sacked their coach. History shows most teams get a lift when that happens for one round. They have basically no injuries v us with tons out.

We will very likely be last...but I think we need to ride this period out. I expected us to be last this year 'and' to go backwards in terms of development.

We are definitely going forward...last will not be easy to accept, but I think we should all brace ourselves and see the bigger picture.

Things are improving. Add Appi and IP to this core...get everyone back...keep evolving as Hasting's team.

You can see a brighter 2023 at last.
EH, I’ve thought similar, looking down the draw I think we are in for a really tough ride. I remember reading people comparing this year to our year in 2005 and my response to that is the only similarity will be the closeness of the draw, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the team that comes last finishes off in a similar way to how the knights did when Joey returned from injury.
If that is us that comes last, it won’t be through lack of effort, it will be that every team has been competitive.
The one constant we’ve had this year is our forward pack has remained mostly in tact. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ve been able to play our best side available of our pre season squad (- Blore) since possibly the Eels game so that sucks.
