Guys I see us either In Melb or in Bris in Week Three.

There are no easy games however I am comforted knowing that most of the teams are desperate to avoid our Tigers, especially after last nights 2nd half performance.

I don't want to sound like a traditionalist etc, but GF qualifers should be in Syd and nowhere else.

We may well have to go to Melb, to play on a 'non' footy field…in a city where no one cares...and a trip so far that will mean 99% of our supporters can't go.

Yeah, but look at 2009, when you had a GF qualifier between Melbourne and Brisbane. Who in Sydney would give a stuff about that? Especially when you had Parra/Dogs the night before (which 75k attended). If you're good enough over 26 rounds to put yourself in a position where you can earn a week off I think you deserve a home prelim. Lets say the Prelims are Melbourne vs Tigers and Broncos vs Dragons. Is it really fair that the higher ranked teams over 26 rounds, and the 2 teams that earned themselves a week off have to travel to their opposition's home ground for their prelims?

i actually agree with you marshall_magic, even though it would be much better for wests to play week 3 in sydney

if cowboys were to earn a home prelim one year then why does it have to be played at suncorp instead of nth qld? imagine if one year they earn a home prelim but have to play it in brisbane against brisbane. its stupid

Imagine if we had to play a finals 'home game' at the SFS against the Roosters.

yeah but atleast that was in our city and we outnumbered the opposition. so its definitely not as bad, although maybe it should have been at anz stadium

I agree. If you want to win the grand final, you gotta beat the best at some point. And, if we're good enough to be premiers then we will be good enough to win, no matter where we play

Melbourne have earnt the right to a home Prelim if they beat Newcastle. No complaints from me, they have been the most consistent team all year and deserve the rewards that come with that.

TO BE THE BEST U HAVE TO BEAT THE BEST!!

well i will be biased again and hope that the tigers play in brisbane in week 3 so i get to see them play again in qld

This, you have to beat them all somewhere.

So, after we get through next weekend, we get to play either the Storm in Melbourne (more than likely) or the Broncos in Brissie (if the Knights somehow beat Melbourne).

Exactly

Neither game will be easy, we just need to lift and smash them. They are both beatable.

if this so … what a joke, no games at all in the major city of rugby league !! cannot ever see the afl having at least one of the play-off for the g/f matches not been played in melbourne. another one for the new commission to sort out. so over this bs macintyre system

Yep, Week 3 will be in Melbourne if we beat the Warriors.

There goes everyone's hopes of a Melbourne V Tigers grand final…

As Jack Gibson once said," Lang Park? It is just a piece of grass with a fence around it"

Weststigers are good enough to play any team anywhere.

It's not just the venue…it's the fans who fill those seats that make it the force to be reckoned with...
