I think everyone agrees the way in which it was done could have been handled better. Perhaps with a little better communication with Farah and this would not have ballooned to the media circus that it has.

@Eddie said:When we punted Marshall people applauded and said the tough calls need to be made (since then we have gone further backwards in some respects) ….
@TYGA said:The issue is not the decision to move Farah on its the poor handling and the inexperience of those making the decisions. We are being criticised openly by Bellamy, Bennet, Gould and others for the removal of Farah and the disrespect shown. There is a bigger issue at play which, is Taylor looks like a bad man manager and his game plans are dreadful.
I must be honest I don't rate Taylor and I think our Chairwoman is completely out of her depth.
I have lost faith with the club and if Farah is removed and we still have cap issues (which we will) we will run near last next year. And for what Taylor will end up sacked along with a club legend dismissed.
He is contracted and needs to be used to help us win its as simple as that. We have marginalised his role in the team to our own detriment all because our coach wants to manage a pack of kids.

Benji's last year was 2013 , we finished 15th on 18 competition points , our f/a was 386/687
with one round to go in 2015 , we're 14th on 20 competition points with a chance to finish 11th , our f/a is 457/530
not exactly backwards .

Ironic about Wayne Bennett. He sacked Wally Lewis for a similar reason.

And I am not excluding myself from this I was one of these fans......
When we punted Gibbs, Heightington, Sheens and Ryan people in here applauded and said the tough calls need to be made (since then we have gone further backwards) ......

Now were punting Farah who has been our captain and arguably the best player in the clubs history and people are saying this is a great tough call that could turn the club around in a couple of years. Pity about next year when we are picking up 600K for him to play against us whilst we have almost lost other expereinced players.
Just saying. Are players the problem here or is it more deep rooted then that???

@Cultured Bogan said:Agree with most in this thread. It's a tough decision to make but moving coaches on and turnover in administration hasn't worked thus far, so things need to happen with the playing group.
I've been waiting for a coach and administration to come along and shake the damn place up. This shows that no one is above the club and no one is above accountability. I imagine if things do not improve next year, the NRL directors and Taylor will be looking for new jobs as well.
This is why clubs like Melbourne and Brisbane are perpetual top 8 sides. They don't tolerate crap and everyone is accountable (at least from a playing group perspective, salary cap rorting aside.)

Gee, so they're mostly accountable?

They've still managed to stay competitive and win a premiership since being caught out on the rorting. You don't do that with an attitude that rewards complacency.
If I were a player and I had the choice of going to Melbourne or Wests for the same money, I know where I'd be headed, and it sure as hell ain't Concord.
