Funny one that one.
Back some years, the former Western Suburbs team as they were known, changed their jersey colour from Black and White to the current Red, Black and White, and also changed their team name to West Harbour, to better fit their identity as an inner Canada Bay location as opposed to the broader western suburbs.
Tradition gave way to a "newer' identity.
