That game at Leichhardt against Melbourne I think it was. Maybe 2006?

Up 30-6 with 20 odd mins to go, ended up 30-28

Are you thinking of the game against Parra? We lead 31-0 with 15 to go, and the full time score ended up 31-30

There’s that one too, but the one I’m thinking of definitely happened, just can’t remember the year. Walked out feeling like we got pumped

Yeah Melbourne at Leichhardt. Hodgson kicked 1 from 7 or something awful. Didn’t look like losing but they scored twice in the final 3 minutes.

That’s right Tuiaki scored in the corner with seconds left

Nah we were up 30-4 or something like that - 7 tries, 1 goal or something crazy. I remember being in the corner, hill side, non Keith Barnes, we were killing it and throwing flick passes getting cocky. Then they scored 4 tries in the final 15, the last two in the final few minutes, the last one on the siren. Should have won 50-4 won 30-28. Well that’s how I remember it anyway!

This is it: [link text](https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/seasons/nrl-2006/round-4/wests-tigers-vs-melbourne/summary.html)

Look at some of those names for the storm sheesh

Daniel Fitzhenry hat trick ?

No such thing as a bad win!

Disagree.

Then again, Jose Mourinho has made a career out of it. Rather successful too.

I think our defence this year has been abysmal but after the last two weeks I think our attack is probably worse. You would think by August the team would have some teamwork and plays going, but we look like a team put together for a one off game where players have come together from far and wide for a one off game

Yes, the attack was awful. Very clunky. Seemed to be a lot of stepping back into defenders when a hard, straight run may have been the go.

Maybe we need Mbye at 6, Doueihi back to centre and Cini at fullback to start next week? Doueihi, as good as he is, jars the attack with his plodding style and passes at 6 too often. In my opinion.

It’s like we get bored with the process. We started one set with strong hit ups by stef and Blore and earned a penalty and then straight away we went away from it and started playing sideways. Need disciplined players prepared to cop the bruises.

So people love to wallow in the negativity- it was crap, but it was a win….we could have lost……sun will be up tomorrow you know.

Honestly, many of our wins this year have felt this way. It's an empty feeling.

I felt empty when Doueihi took a shot at penalty goal with 4 minutes remaining ... our margin is minus 140. we are talking up our chances of Top 8 ... we weren’t going to lose the game with 4 minutes remaining so I’m sure a potential 6 point could have given us a bit more confidence.

Should have taken a tap, ran backwards and gone for the 2 point field goal

Nah, they would have tripped over in the process, they were that bad.

Parra Easter Monday 30 point lead for mine was a worst win ever.

This was a close second. Pathetic.

Look, i cringed alot whilst watching this game. It was definitely very hard to watch, but a win is a win. Every team has an ugly win here and there this was one of those.

Yep the Parra 31-30 win is the first one I thought of, however there was still a lot of class and skill across that game.

This game on the other hand was a slow slug fest.

Like everyone else I'll take the two points, but there were some pretty dodgy moments.

First try from the dogs was softer than a poached egg. The dummy half runner beat four of our guys who were having a bludge (Leilua, Liddle, Tamou, Utoikamanu).

All starts with dominating the tackle. Your ideal scenario is you want to get the ball carrier onto his back and then peel off one by one .. it’s the most efficient way to slow the play the ball down. We seem to be really bad at doing this as even a team like the dogs managed to get fast PTBs yesterday

2016 - round 1 v Warriors we were up 28-4 at half time and won 34-26

2018 - round 12 v Bulldogs we won 14-10

2019 - round 14 v Cowboys we were up 20-6 at half time and won 27-26

Everyone remembers the Eels game in 2012

Yesterday definitely felt like a loss but i’ll take the 2 points any day of the week

Good thread.. It was a Picasso more than a Rembrant..

2 points is 2 points.. don't have to paint a picture

Coloring by numbers works for me: 2 points is always 2 points!
