Lest hope we can win and get a way from the wooden spoon,there is enugh going on without the wooden spoon.Waching Wests play Cronulla on replay yesterday I noticed Wests played without a jersey sponsor,is this correct .If so I must have missed something earlier…..
 
After watching the game against Cronulla on Wednesday the Magpie players interviewed were far more upbeat about 'just' avoiding the spoon, they feel they are still in Semi Final contention.
A win against the Wolves will see them not only get equal on points but with a bye still to come and a few results their way anything is possible especially the way they played against the Storm/Sharks.
Last round saw the top 3 sides get beaten in upsets so here's hoping in continues this weekend's matches

yeah we have the bye next week.we won 24-8 today and i heard balmain lost so mathematically we are still a chance to make the finals. but we need balmain to lose their last 2 games and we cant lose our last game. it would then come down to for and against
 
howcome balmain ryde eastwood have had 3 byes this year? how is that fair???

i was just looking at the ladder on the nswrl website and it says wests have only had 1 bye 😕

one of the byes wests have had was when we had the NSW Residents vs Qld Residents game. maybe everyone had the bye then, and didnt get 2 points on the ladder. i dont remember 😕

That's it alien, all teams had that week off.
 
Some clubs got 3 byes because of the late withdrawal of St George Illawarra's NSW feeder club. So yeah every side that was meant to play them 3 times got an extra bye. It isn't fair but I can understand why it was done :frowning:

it is good for the teams that were goin to play them 3 times (like balmain). but not so good for the other teams (like wests) :brick:
 
The 'C'mon Wests' banner was well positioned today Alien. The Jungle was also very noticeable, well done to all involved.
