Bridesmaids again… As usual, Brisbane were classy until the end and never panicked.

Did any Wanderers player walk off that pitch WITHOUT a yellow card?

Berisha is the furthest thing from classy

That's a tough one to stomach and it will be take a lot longer than last year to get over. NTS going down was certainly a turning point.

You're not wrong. La Rocca going into the backline and we lost the midfield afterwards. That was probably his best match in a Wanderers jersey.

It's just ouch. I don't know how to describe it. It hurts worse then losing the origin has the last few years.

Really was a bad call , you stopped going forward once you made this change and the minute you did Brisbane had you We just kept pushing forward wave after wave and you lacked the speed to catch us on the counter

I believe we had Haliti, Mooy, Cole and Juric on the bench (hindsight is 20/20 but it would have been real nice to have Beauchamp there instead of Cole), none of them are anything close to a centre back. Mooy was probably the best bet with what Popa had to work with.

The really bad call in my opinion was subbing Shinji off for Haliti. Hersi was pretty ineffective towards the end of the game, so I would probably have taken him off instead. I don't see the sense in taking off your best player with 10 minutes to go in a grand final. Once Brisbane equilised it was always going to be tough to get back into the game.

I think Mooy on for NTS was his only option too. Literally had no other option. Hindsight would have been great for the Shinji sub too. He was going for the 1-0 win which we had and I guess was hoping Haliti's pressing and counter ability would be favourable over a tiring Ono. Bridge or Hersi were the other potential options but I'm pretty sure Popovic was hoping it wouldn't get to where it did.

Don't worry I was angry we played Miller

He was a long way off 100% and it showed

Every touch Henrique had leading up to his goal was horrific

Santalab has a mate then, doesn't he?

Asian Champions League match tomorrow night in Japan and then we host next Wednesday in the return leg. It'll be the last match for a few players including Mooy, Hersi, Ono and possibly Beauchamp, Polenz and Spiranovic.

I think I may even get a bit emotional as the Wanderers club and these players have given me some great times in a tough period in my life. Some awesome memories following the team and these players. I've just been amazed at the class and skill of Ono. What a player, what a man.

Oh look a 3-1 loss we haven't seen that before hahaha
I think that 3rd goal will really hurt. We must win 2-0 to go through. If we concede, then it's pretty much all over.

The last goal may be what kills us here. I would have taken the 2-1 loss, and hoped we could get a 1-0 here. 2-0 may be tough but not impossible, the last goal was pretty unlucky.

I hate the Wanderers

In psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud defined hate as an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of its unhappiness.

Find your source of unhappiness King Sirro - that is how you will come to compromise with this feeling - otherwise it will eat you alive - cancer just needs a trigger. Get rid of it and move on.

A great 2-0 win last night to get through to the quarters of the Asian Champions League. Top 8 baby!
Next round won't be till August so it's the last time we'll see the likes of Hersi, Ono & Mooy. Spiranovic, Beauchamp, Polenz and D'Apuzzo may be moved on or heading overseas too so the team that competes next time around will be vastly different.

We're back with a huge win tonight over Guangzhou, a draw in China or even a 2-1 loss would see us through now. I don't think I've ever seen game that went from being dull in the first half to being so gripping at the death, 2 player sent off. A win here and we can definitely go all the way, and if we play like we did in the second half then we're in with a great chance.

A quick look at La Rocca and Saba's Instagram pages suggest our friends at Evergrande are not taking the loss too well. Can't wait for the second leg now.

Big ask to go to China and get the biscuits. Guangzhou will come out gunning after last nights shenanigans.

just hope the wanderers are fortunate enough to get the cookies.
if the wanderers can jag an away goal the other mob might find the pressure too much to handle. confident that popovic will have a good game plan for the return leg.
go wanderers !
