Suli and Marsters in the centres , Milne on bench Round 1

That way you get a forwards injury you can move Marsters into the forwards and you got a back replacement

Losing centres in the modern game puts you on the back foot big time , especially in defence

…and if there is no injury in the forwards you are wasting a bench spot. Better to have Milne in the centres and Marsters on the bench covering injury in the backs and, if he is not needed to cover the backs, learning the role of an impact 2nd rower with a 30 odd minute stint.

No reason he can't spend 15 minutes in the back row each week

I personally think Marsters offers more in the centres at this stage of his career , Brooks needs big targets out wide in the red zone than can create chance and break the line

We are going to need every point we can buy this season

I like the look of Milne.
Suli has been average.
Naiqama is a defensive liability.
Marsters is an unknown who looked good in the youth grades cos of his bulk.
Having compared to the rest of the teams, our centres, though full of potential, right now are completely unproven and defensively questionable. On paper we will arguably possess the worst centre pairing in the comp.

Even though most won't agree about Suli, I'm still to see what all the hype is about, I know he's still a kid, and he started Last season well, butHe seemed to drop off quite a bit pretty quickly.

I'm not saying he won't be a world beater, but you can only go on what he's doing on the field now, and average describes that pretty well

Most of the early part of the season he was deprived of the football, Ivan needs to devise some plays around getting him more involved and some good early ball.

Tedesco leaving is the best outcome so Suli gets decent early ball in space. Being run out of room while Tedesco crabs across field or not getting the ball at all because he wouldn't pass is not great.

I would like to see our back 5 like this:

1\. Lolohea
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Suli
4\. Milne
5\. Fonua / MWZ / Naiqama / Thompson (these four battle it our for this position)

Yep Marsters is a big boy with good footwork and Brooks could use him on his outside. However Milne isn't exactly small either (6ft/100 kg's).

Marsters will be more suited as a back rower with good foot work. At this stage I would have Marsters as our super sub / utility palyer on the bench as he can play either in the back or forwards.

H - 187cm / W - 110kgs

Strange Cleary specifically set Marsters the task of trimming down pre pre season…which he did came back lighter ...

He needs 2 big targets either side of the ruck to show his value… This is why Aloiai needs to play inside Marsters/Milne & McQueen inside Suli. [sorry Rowdy]

Realistically, Cleary needs to open the door to 'every' position in the starting team and settle on his combination for 5-6 weeks to see if it works. We cant be going into 2018 with anyone guaranteed a starting spot!

I don't think the puppy fat was going to be much use in any position he's likely to be playing…

Right Side: Aloiai, Reynolds, Milne, Nofoaluma!!!!!!!

Wasn't it stated last season that Suli is a better on the right side than the left? I know one thing for sure Marsters should be in the 17.

I see him as a similar player to peachey from the panthers

4\. Suli
5\. Fonua

Odds on, assuming they are all fit. Not really a fan of Marsters in the centres, especially when we are pretty weak in the back row. I wouldn't mind seeing Benji play in the centres at some point.
