Wests Tigers and the finals

@willow said:
If the Tigers aim up each week they should be able to do it. There are some good players due to return from injury and the Tigers while in solid form, can definitely play better, and will need to against some of these sides, such as the Dragons, Broncos, Souths and Penrith. It should provide for some very exciting matches too.

We will get Brisbane. They wont have Lockie, Thaiday, Falou, and those 3 have been the source of all thier go forward over the last month.

If we cant get enough inside us to knock off Souths, well we never will…

I only want to beat St George and Panthers once this year, and the Finals will do me!!!

Never ever write off the Baby Broncos…....be paying a close eye the their game this week...

Why all this peering into the future anyway.....1 win at a time.....next test Raiders...

Gona have to miss the Raiders game now. Not Happy 😢 😢 😢

Raiders at LO is a must win same with the Broncs who will be without their Origin stars. We get these two in the bag I am confident we will get there, we really should get past the Titans, Sharks and Cows as well…..but it can be a funny game.

The number of competition points needed to make the top 8 this year has changed since Melbourne was booted.
Regardless of this, 30 competition points would assure the Wests Tigers of making the finals.

The table below will be updated weekly.

**At the completion of the round:**
**Round 13 Bulldogs (a):** 16pts [5th] –- 12pts required. WT must win 6 from 12 games to make the finals
**Round 14 BYE:**
**Round 15 Raiders (h-LO):**
**Round 16 Dragons (a):**
**Round 17 Broncos (a):**
**Round 18 Titans (h-CS):**
**Round 19 Cowboys (h-LO):**
**Round 20 Manly (a):**
**Round 21 Sharks (h-LO):**
**Round 22 Rabbitohs (a):**
**Round 23 Panthers (h-CS):**
**Round 24 Eels (a):**
**Round 25 Storm (h-LO):**
**Round 26 Titans (a):**

I predict the Tigers will not lose a game between now and the end of the season as we lift the Trophy at ANZ Stadium. I also predict that as this is happening all Ch9 commentators, Laurie Daley and Phil Redfacefield will still be tipping the Eels and Dragons to win next years comp. We will see 6 tigers players in the Australia side only for all to be dropped in next years Origin by selectors.

Bitter much?

wests-tigers destiny is in their own hands, if they have the hunger/desire they will make it.
being realistic they will lose games along the way.
I know its gonna sound boring, but the team needs to only focus on the game they are currently preparing for.
do not look ahead otherwise it will fall to crap.
at the moment nothing else matters, cause if you don't win enough for to qualify for the finals, the season has been a failure.
one game at a time, small steps before you can run etc,
there is no use at the end of a game, which ends in a loss saying "we should have won", just make sure you do win.

Remember we may have won our last 3 games but they were against teams that aren't top 8 teams.

I think the toughest game of the run home is next week v Raiders. At LO after 3 wins the Tigers will be expected to win that by plenty. We are not good favourites and we cannot afford to drop this game. The quicker we can get to 20 points the better and next week is a massive opportunity to do this.

**At the completion of the round:**
**Round 13 Bulldogs (a):** 16pts [5th] –- 12pts required. WT must win 6 from 12 remaining
**Round 14 BYE:** 18pts [3rd] –- 12pts required. WT must win 6 from 12 games remaining
**Round 15 Raiders (h-LO):**
**Round 16 Dragons (a):**
**Round 17 Broncos (a):**
**Round 18 Titans (h-CS):**
**Round 19 Cowboys (h-LO):**
**Round 20 Manly (a):**
**Round 21 Sharks (h-LO):**
**Round 22 Rabbitohs (a):**
**Round 23 Panthers (h-CS):**
**Round 24 Eels (a):**
**Round 25 Storm (h-LO):**
**Round 26 Titans (a):**

see, what I dont understand is Parra
They are coming 9th (10th if you include Melb) yet they are equal second favorites to win the comp
i'm sorry, but a team with a very raw halfback and one good prop shouldn't be paying $7 to win

Such a close comp this year. Looking at the ladder we currently sit 3rd, but if you take byes into consideration we would be coming 7th. (8th if Melbourne were still getting points).

Shows that each game is important and as people have said before, the most important game is the next one we are playing.

Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Theyve been backed in…you need to ask those who plonked on em.
Might be the same mob who put a stack on the Dogs last night, nearly got the cash only thanks to an injury to Prince

the only game that matters, is the one that is infront of you.
focus all efforts on that, and hopefully come away with the win. get all the simple things write in the game, and result should go wests-tigers way.
one step at a time.

with the remaining game unable to affect the Wests Tigers, i've updated the original post

as melbourne continue to knock off sides, it seems more likely that the required number points will drop from 30
