Wests Tigers are divided, says Fifita

True, but a happy workplace can achieve a lot more than an unhappy one. A tighter team will always give 100% for each other, that's why we see average efforts from the Eels and a lot of the time the Tigers.

I think Fifita is probably right that we aren't as close as the sharks, but I'd say it would be the same for most clubs. I've played in plenty of teams with guys who I hated, most rep teams are comprised from guys from clubs you play, you hate them, but when it comes to playing you all dig in. I'm sure the tigers team harmony is no worse than most clubs.

Would love to have fifita and gibbs back, but I doubt it was as simple as Blair = Gibbs + Fifita, the upgrading the other contracts etc must have been the other part, as our club isn't that dumb.

If you're a professional you do your job regardless, Moh.
Take a look at Darius Boyd - you can't say he's instant best mates with every player in every team he moves to - but he does his job just about better than everybody.
Illek's right too , I've played alongside plenty of guys I didn't have any time for off the field - but it never stopped me or them putting in when we were playing for the same team.

Don't think Lui will be making any comments in a hurry - but who really cares anyway?
They are professional footballers - paid to play football , not be best friends.
Who here has played in a team and been best friends with EVERY guy?
Everybody has different personalities , likes and dislikes - but at training and on the field you do your job.

I think you are missing the point massively…....

Guys are getting PICKED in the team based on being part of the 'in crowd'. Guys are NOT being dropped as they are part of the popular group. How can players "do their jobs on the field" when some aren't even being picked in the first place?

Simple example = Tim Moltzen can play 6 bad games straight and he won't be dropped. He's Benji's best mate.
Mitch Brown could play a 7/10 or 8/10 type game and be DROPPED next week.

That's what the whole "division" is about. The guys in the "in crowd" simply never get dropped. Heighno, Beau, Moltz.........................................................

Maybe it's time to move some players on to bring back harmony into the team.

On paper we have a gun side but it is not reflected on the field.

Players should be pick sorely on form and not if they are Marshall's mate.

A guy like Moors rips in every game he plays and provides more impact then any other forward and he gets dropped. Then Marshall's roomy can be a passenger for weeks on end and survive. Yes theres nothing odd about that at all :unamused:

Thinking this ex grub has seen that when the boys train and are separated into backs and forwards for drills at training, he would see it as we are split, only because he way lazy and would watch from the grandstand and knew no better haha

Why is he a grub?

Gee , I must apologise to some of you guys :astonished:
I thought Fifita just said they were a tighter group at Cronulla .
I obviously missed the part where he said the disharmony in the Tigers camp ( along with unemployment , famine , the world economy etc) was all Tim Moltzen's fault…....again.

No one is blaming Moltz for this stuff. The facts are that Sheens has created this type of team where he actively encurages a core group to form and then he essentially lets that core remain no matter what.

Anyone with half a brain would have worked out by now that Moltz, Beau, Heighno, Big Toddy before he retired were simply never going to get dropped no matter how badly they played.

And that Moors, Brown etc would always be the odd man out when someone had to miss out….......no matter how well they played.

That's what the whole two dressing rooms stuff is about...........the "in group" and the "dispensables". Being close to Benji or Robbie has historically got people into the "in group". Remember a few years back where Beau was terrible almost every week? Robbie and Benji wanted him in the team and that's why he stayed. To be fair, he's improved immensely.

Converestly, someone like Heighno has gone backwards dramatically and isn't up to it anymore. The core group "want" him there though, so he's never going to be dropped when fit.

Whether all this is good or bad, I don't know.

IMO it breeds team harmony amongst the 'core'....and that's good in a lot of ways. (Players are friends, want to stay etc etc)

But it also breeds complacency. (Core guys know they won't be dropped ever) It also breeds ill feeling as guys like Brown knew they'd always be the guy dropped even if they played well.

Your getting warmer.

I would have thought Gibbs would have been a "core player" but he got the flick.
Moltzen ( another "core" player was given the flick and only got back because Lui imploded and the Dragons hadn't done their paperwork properly.
Heighington was as good as gone to Penrith last year and Ryan was gone as well - they are lucky to still be at the Tigers.
Don't think Sheens will stick by them forever if it's his head on the block.
Moltzen has had one BAD game - there are players in the team who have played poorly more consistently than him.
Problem is we have a great deal of injuries and Sheens has decided to move first graders (even if they're not performing well) into different positions to cover these spots.
Personally I don't believe in weakening one spot to strengthen another.
EVERY team has a core group ,the 'senior players group' , and every coach consults them (to a degree) .
Maybe Fifita (who I have a lot of time for) felt left out because he wasn't part of ours.

Well JWH wont be with this "DIVIDED Team" Roosters to announce the re-signing of him today. Pity was hoping he would be a tiger.

Anyone who thinks the playing group are divided should have seen a core group of them today helping out at Chris Lawrence's kids footy clinic. Woods, Robbie, Moltz, Groat, Miller, Fults, Curtis Sironen as well as a few other 20s all gave their time on their day off to help out. Everyone had a blast and the kids loved it.

A great

I saw Fafita say that and to be honest I was shocked but It was all just hard feelings and obviously winners are grinners. He was pumped after there win and having a good game. His new team mates would have been loving him and telling him how well he played. Mitch Brown has left the club after being given a poor amount of chances and has praised and said he'll miss the club. Can't be reading too much into what Fafita said!

Moltzen one bad game? Hasn't had one good game and tell me if Farah is the captain why does Benji do all the talking?
Benji's performances this year should have seen him playing in the State Cup but that will never happen whilst his adopted daddy is the coach.
No wonder there is discension in the camp!

You are on drugs if you believe that.
