Siebold had a heap of talent at Broncos and copped the wrath of supporters when it went to sh@#. Can't see any attraction for our current situation - not much talent and a desperate supporter base. It's all a bit too soon after the last debacle I would think. His family went through hell don't think he would risk that so soon..

I don't see any reason to move him on. He has one year left on his contract. To me it's a non issue.

I also don't even see him as the problem. If he had a pack of forwards killing I reckon he'd be a lot better.

I think you are setting Noddy up for failure to somehow turn Brooks from who he is into a superstar player.

My opinion is that we need to sort out our halves this year. We have 4 decent ones in Madden, Brooks, AD and Hastings. We know that Brooks isn't good enough for our club in that role. I like Madden but I don't see him as that player either. Doueihi though has a lot of upside to his game.

I think the easy option is playing Doueihi in the centres. Put him at 6 and see if he is good enough. If not move him to the centres.

I'm with you mate.
I think Siebs would be a disaster for us the same as he was with the Donkeys. He is probably a more square peg than Madge. Siebs' football brain needs experienced top level players to implement; not a developing roster. It was way too complex for a developing Donkeys so it would be way too complex for our "development" team.

We can't just let him go to KOE and lose value. How do we solve anything whilst he's contracted by demoting a million dollar man.
I know people will hate me for saying this but Noddy has to fix this as a rehearsal to what coaching is all about.

I wasn't a huge Madge supporter but neither was I in the punt him camp. If we take all of the emotion way from it he simply didn't get the results we all, including Madge, expected.

You could argue that his plans were too simplistic, too predictable or not expansive enough or that the players didn't buy the hype. You could equally argue that there was a huge injury toll early on this year that derailed his post Cleary plan and that one more year and some better cattle would have justified the pain.

The bottom line is our performances did not improve so the decision was made to move him on.

He didn't get the on field results for sure, and that cost him his job. However, he did get us out of the salary cap rut, put in place a set of standards and tried hard to develop a culture of individuals being the player that everyone wants in their team.

Could it be that our players giving their best is simply worse than most other clubs on an everyday basis?

I acknowledge your opinion and position in relation to the spoon and agree he didn't perform - but an unmitigated disaster - probably not.

Madge was definitely on the right track culturally. The current roster means that we don't have a solid foundation; however, I think he has left us something that can be built on.

Funny how don’t see many of the Slater 4 Coach crowd about these days😋

As an expert in losses, the panel here must conclude that it was a very impressive loss as far as losses go.

That throwing in of the towel with 30 minutes to go, you just can’t coach that?

A player is either a natural footy turkey or not.
