Wests Tigers Coaches

Haven't watched only going off of what's been posted via fox twitter. Seems like it's all agreed and we are just waiting for the official announcement
Benji won me over tonight…it only took 5 minutes.
It was like a great job interview…
He genuinely loves the club and is 100% emotionally committed in turning it around.
Together with Sheens they’re our most attractive option to those we aim to attract to our club.

The latest news about Benji and Robbie coaching.... absolutely cringeworthy stuff. How low can this club stoop? We're on the way to our first spoon and the club just needs to put the right people forward for the right jobs. Ex-players from a few years ago because they we're superstars in their own right doesn't mean they'll be great coaches straight away for bottom of the ladder clubs.

WT held a meeting today. I do not know the result but there are no current live options other than Sheens and some very left field options that have not been fully developed.

Expect some statement from the club tomorrow afternoon.
So “left field options” are possibly/probably:
- Brett Kimmorley
- Wayne Lambkin
- Nathan Cayless
- Ben Gardiner

…so your preferred option is????

It's ridiculous.

We longed to get rid of them in the hopes we start to develop a new (winning) culture, but we bring them back.

Benji on 360 sounded like he has no ideas, just wants to be among the boys. When asked about what the problems are and how to fix them - "Well I'm not there day in day out Kenty"... Bro, ya were there for a decade and STILL see enough these days to have some sort of opinion.

This is just going to be a disaster.

Some of those options have been discussed but as I say, not completely developed. If there is a statement tomorrow it will not be about any of them.
So if that’s the case, I’m tipping any statement will be Tim Sheens to assume the role as HC for 2 years with Benji Marshall to be in a newly created assistant coach role (development) with Nathan Cayless (defence) to remain in the asst coaching team & joined by Robbie Farah (attack). Brett K to resume his role as Pathways Coach.

I landed a First 4 once, see how I go with this speculator!!!

Wasn’t he basically shirting on McGuire /the club when they didn’t sign him for another year.

Loved the club so much that he went and players for south’s last year .

Personally I thought that segment on 360 was cringe . To me it feels like 360 and Benji doing that segment was to bully tigers into that coaching setup .

Coach 10 years out of nrl and co-coaches with no experience being assistant or head coaches

this is going to be like an AFL club hiring thier old boy to coach eg. Collingwoood.
It’s either the smartest thing ever or the absolute dumbest .
Seriously if we were going to swing for the fences why are we not considering the walker brothers ?
I’m all for a circuit breaker by the way . I’m not sure this is it , but all the other options really did have a sense of déjà vu . Including Ciraldo . In fact especially Ciraldo . We would have chewed him up and spat him out .
I think Tim is still extremely wise when it comes to the game , and both those guys can offer the latest tactical plays , and structures .
In fact screw it ! I’m all for it . It’s at the very least going to be can’t miss viewing . Hopefully not like watching a car crash , but more like watching early season game of thrones .

Tiger Crash Investigation, coming soon to the doco channel.

I'm beyond having an opinion about if it is a good or bad idea anymore. Just make a decision and start working.
The plan to get Ciraldo failed, there seems to be no move to approach experienced coaches, and the development coaches whoever they are not prepared to risk the real possibility of this club destroying their careers.
So that leaves Sheens and co - who would have thought. It will either be a great rags to riches story, or an unmitigated disaster. That's how this club rolls.

The club is a mess and it’s years away from competing even if they get everything right. Madge was not the problem and effectively coaches we were interested in Ciraldo, Morris won’t coach the tigers. We should have never sacked Madge without a backup plan. Perhaps Sheens was the play all along and it’s all theatre.

I’m all for Sheens with Farah and Marshall, Noddy as assistant coaches in some capacity.
