people seem **very confused** over the nature of Fifita's departure
it is different to Bryce - Gibbs was released him from his contract. The Tigers had **total control** over that.
We actually took up Fifita's option! We wanted to keep him! However, he did not want to stay. **He left.**
Cronulla offered much better money and he took it. And I don't think we were offering chump change either.
He would still have been paid quite well at the Tiges from what everyone has reported.
This was Fifita's decision and not the club's. It is far from a horrible decision on our behalf, and the fact that we actually took up his option shows we wanted to keep the guy. **He didn't want to stay.**
We only dumped Gibbs to make way for Blair. Not Fifita.
But thankyou, Andrew, for easing our cap concerns just that little more.

I can't belive the club could let fifita go this would have to the worst decsion this club has ever made
This kid will be up their with the best soon.
Gibbs should have gone after 2005 GF he has not scored a try since then & has done nothing & will do nothing at the sharks could not care
Are the tigers going to hold onto fullton?
The club said they needed to let some older players go Fifta must be getting old after signing his contract
3 weeks ago Not happy
I don't blame Fifita in any way.
Need more then Adam Blair

This is my understanding as well. The club let him go because what we are offering him and what Cronulla are offering him are extremely different. We let him go so he could earn more money.
_**I'd be inclined to keep him and upgrade his pay.**_
@JJR said:Shocking to lose a player like Fifita who is young and a great prop. Since when was Adam Blair the new Glen Lazarus? I would've preferred to keep Fifita and find a fullback.
