want to clear something up
people seem **very confused** over the nature of Fifita's departure
it is different to Bryce - Gibbs was released him from his contract. The Tigers had **total control** over that.
We actually took up Fifita's option! We wanted to keep him! However, he did not want to stay. **He left.**
Cronulla offered much better money and he took it. And I don't think we were offering chump change either.
He would still have been paid quite well at the Tiges from what everyone has reported.
This was Fifita's decision and not the club's. It is far from a horrible decision on our behalf, and the fact that we actually took up his option shows we wanted to keep the guy. **He didn't want to stay.**

We only dumped Gibbs to make way for Blair. Not Fifita.
But thankyou, Andrew, for easing our cap concerns just that little more.
total crap! what is your source please!
"Club chief executive Stephen Humphreys told us: "We've always had a big opinion of Aaron and while he is probably getting more game time this year than we predicted, he's starting to realise the potential he's had. With Andrew we've taken up his option and will also hope to sit down to discuss a longer deal."

Despite taking up the option for 2012 on Fifita, Wests Tigers decided not to stand in his way of accepting a lucrative offer. Fifita has played 35 games for Wests Tigers.
“It was an extremely difficult decision for the Club to make given Andrew’s development here but it’s a great opportunity for him personally and we could not lose sight of that,” Humphreys said.
