I am pissed off and not so much just at them but at all new clubs in all sports ours included for choosing horrible American Names - BE PROUD OF OUR NATION - call your selves the Western Sydney Wombats or the GWS Goannas just dont choose stupid names like Giants or Titans - Now I know we are the tigers and they (excluding the mighty tassie tiger) are forign but they are also 100 yrs old these guys have a new chance

Seems like a not very subtle attempt to attract supporters from the best supported NRL team in Western Sydney. Anyway I think the whole GWS idea is dumb and they'll crash and burn. I just see them canibalising the Swans supporters than attracting anyone new.

They have really killed my interest in AFL as a casual fan over the last 2 years.
Their raids on Rugby League have made me go from a casual fan, to no fan, to absolutely despising the game!
Anything for free publicity in the hope of eventually annihilating my number 1 sport.
I may only be one person but they have lost my support.

I just wish the state govt would give as much support to well established rugby league clubs as they have this mob of untried blow ins - $45 M to redevelop the showground to suit their needs. God knows how much money has been thrown in to develop their Blacktown training facility.
How about $45 M to redevelop Campbelltown, Penrith Park or Parramatta Stadium????

I don't think they are playing out of Blacktown… I thought that was a joint training facility with funding from the state government, the AFL and NSW cricket.

I dare say the peanuts will play out of Homebush.
