Wests Tigers future guaranteed

No Need For Panic … the Weatherman's in charge.
Wests are paying the bills, and a more proactive push toward Sydney's South West will both apease the NRL and quell the internal tension.

WHAT A PACK OF CLOWNS!

Many years ago I was a Balmain Tigers supporter. I moved to the NT and lived in a remote community with no TV. Then we got two channels and guess what? AFL only. I finally moved to a place where I could see and support the….what's this? Wests Tigers? And felt bl##dy lucky to do so.

Get over your petty squabbles or lose what you profess to support.

seriously, you had to endure yrs with no TV, then more watching aerial ping-pong…. of course you felt lucky to get colour tv and see rugby league again. Welcome back to civilisation.

Micheal J Fox did it better, he had a Delorean.

There was a time when the Monkey Bar was known as the Cricketers Arms, the Codocks Club served the coldest beer and Balmain Coppers fielded 25 teams. That was a long time ago in a demographic galaxy far, far away. Balmain could never exist again, not even if Bill Gates fell in love with the idea. Even if a new Leagues Club rises up and even if Packer gets lazy enough to let the new club build a decent gambling market, the future is the south west corridor. It's where the players are and it's where the club has to, at some stage, throw serious resources at winning the support of local people.

and married to Miss Helena and she has the magic mirror !

Mike Bailey was fired from his weather gig when he went on holidays - maybe we could all pitch in and send him somewhere nice? As long as we are going to be run by a weather person, can I please have Jane Bunn from Win News? If we are going to go down I'd much rather it was with her.

the only thing guaranteed about wests-tigers future is the bickering from both sides of the joint venture. :unamused:

The only good thing when you hit rock bottom is that it is more likely to lead to change.
The board structure is unworkable …. It's a wonder it hasn't fallen apart completely by now.

An independent chairman would be an excellent start.

Mark my word's our board will make a massive meal of this, these center of excellence programmes and building's are great initiative's in theory, but in reality they are a huge burden on resources and cost million's, if done properly they can give any team a great competative edge, but with our board we have not got a hope in hell. They raerly work, look at the Titan's their's nearly bankrupt the club and the building is absolutely atrocious it was built in half measures nothing was done properly, the club could'nt cope with the financial burden. The cost blew out and the rest is history. Only a very savy and intelligent board can make it work something unfortunatly we have never had.
