A MUCH-NEEDED win after three straight losses and the news of three key signings for next year has re-energised the Wests Tigers' team for the run home to the NRL finals.
>
The 38-18 win over the North Queensland Cowboys moved the Tigers to 20 premiership points in seventh place after 19 rounds.
>
The Benji Marshall-inspired Tigers thrashed the Cowboys, scoring six tries.
>
The Kiwi five-eighth landed seven goals, several of them from out wide and scored a try for a personal tally of 18 points.
>
On the recruitment front, after weeks of speculation, the Tigers announced the signing of Melbourne Storm and Kiwi international forward Adam Blair for the next four years.
>
Joining him will be Parramatta centre Joel Reddy for the next two years and Penrith prop Matthew Bell for a year.
>
Lock Chris Heighington and winger Beau Ryan will stay with the club after both players had been linked to Penrith.
>
Tigers' chief executive Stephen Humphreys said both players were under contract and "aren't going anywhere."
>
"Chris is contracted with us for another two years and Beau also has another year to run on his contract — they were never leaving the club and both men are integral members of our squad," Humphreys said.
>
Humphreys said the injured trio of winger Lote Tuqiri (ankle), winger Matt Utai (broken arm) and prop Todd Payten (groin) will undergo fitness tests and be assessed by the club's staff this week.
>
Hooker and skipper Robbie Farah will lead the Tigers when they tackle the Roosters on Saturday at Leichhardt Oval at 7.30pm.
