Unfortunately, Mason will never be a regular first grader no matter where he goes. He just doesn’t have the factor no matter what position he plays.
Mason wasn't really that different to Madden.

Herbie is the prototype…It's silly to expect too much from a boy's 1st season, big future yes but not a man's body yet.
Watched KOE today on fox, Saukuru looks the part also but he needs to be fitter his stamina wouldn't stand up in 1st grade.
Possibly mate but a long way to go forward for him to prove himself at least he has size that's a good base to work off.Herbie is the prototype…
I think Makasinis feet are a bit heavy for centre
You are underselling Madden. His work at first receiver is underrated. He is really good at squaring defenders up. Mason doesn't have that ability yet. He passes too early and doesn't draw in defenders.Mason wasn't really that different to Madden.
Madden is great at taking the line on - he showed that today by taking that hit to the head. Big balls that kid.You are underselling Madden. His work at first receiver is underrated. Never - it’s been never!!Possibly mate but a long way to go forward for him to prove himself at least he has size that's a good base to work off.
Look at the dolphins today, the benchmark for outside backs tall, strong, athletic and fast most of them.
When was the last time our side could boast that.
Lol those words really sting man, let's hope it doesn't morph into forever, probably only have 40 more years to see us do something in the NRL.Never - it’s been never!!
A bit carried away might be a bit of an understatement 😂Makasini fits the prototype, but he is still only 18y.o and after some good trial form I think we all got a bit carried away thinking he could be our instant saviour.

I was wondering the same thing today.Have we ever won a game when he's played?
True he does pass the ball way too early to be a decent halve.I thought Mason was very ordinary against the Phins, if he was playing center i would agree he had an ok game in attack however playing 7 he passed way too early and when he did go into the line he was tackled and killed any attacking shape we had out wide. No matter how you look at it he was very ordinary in defense. I'm not sure where you play him in first grade, as many have stated he is too good for Cup yet cant seem to make an impression in firsts. Upside is he is still quite young and should still develop, however it may not be at the WT.
Bula showed some signs when we were desperate at the end of the game that he was willing to be more adventurous. To me it seems he is scared to throw a pass and doesn't trust himself. He needs to find a pass though, not to become a playmaker, just so that there is less attention on him the next time he runs.True he does pass the ball way too early to be a decent halve.
But why does Bula always escape criticism for doing exactly the same thing on an equally important position being fullback ?
